Title: 6 mon old pups starting on cattle Post by: Silverton Boar Dogs on November 12, 2009, 11:34:06 am I have 4 Pups out of Cat (Catahoula x Plott) and by Jessie (Catahoula x Plott). They are 6 months old and ready to start school. I have had them outside the bay pen and they are baying at hogs well. I turned them out a small pig last week and they worked it like champs and got caught. So today was an introduction to cattle. They did great for there first time, no old dogs to help just the pups. They were running to turn the leaders well and working together as a team to hold them up. They are out of excellent stock and I am excited that they are ready to start training.

One day I am gonna go see that action live in the field. I would like to go to OK this weekend but those 400 miles between me and Smithville, OK seem like too many....
