Title: Texas History Post by: Circle C on April 28, 2008, 09:19:03 am After our hunt yesterday, Sean, Mike, Matt, Brute, Mandi, and Myself went to lunch. Somehow we ended up on a discussion of Texas history, and the capitols Texas has had. When I got to the office this morning, I decided to let google answer our questions.
Capitols of Texas Harrisburg - In 1835, the General Council of Texas, a provisional government of Texas, made Harrisburg its capital For some reason you never hear about Harrisburg being a former state capitol, here are the ones that are most often recognized. http://www.lsjunction.com/facts/capitols.htm Washington-on-the-Brazos (1836) Columbia (1836) Houston (1837-1839) Austin (1839-1842; 1845-1855) Washington-on-the-Brazos (1842-1845) Austin (1855-1881) Temporary Capitol (1881-1888) Present Capitol of Texas (1888- http://www.lsjunction.com/facts/6flags.htm Title: Re: Texas History Post by: BRUTE on April 28, 2008, 10:59:58 am So every one was right, Harrisburg and Houston. :D

It's a delicacy in some parts of this state.... Other places, the amadillos just get drunk and pass out on the highway like this (http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p204/ccoughran/dillodrinkinlarge.jpg) Title: Re: Texas History Post by: jdt on June 11, 2008, 11:21:39 pm hey thats funny right there , if possums did that you wouldnt even have to marinate em
