Title: automotive ?
Post by: HogzgoneWild on December 03, 2009, 01:43:29 pm
Ok I thought I might check and see if anyone has had this problem before I pay to have it figured out. I'm pretty sure its electrical somewhere, relay, control swich ect..??? I have a 2001 dodge 1/2 ton, and the heater blows cool. The a/c works fine, but the heater blows cool, it will get warm off and on but goes back cool...anyone had anything similar and can help diagnose the source?

my buddy had a 2001 dodge that would blow cold when he stopped, but heated back up when he took off again. i just called him, and he said he had a radiator leak, and just had to add water. May work for you, if its the same problem!

Check your vaccuum lines.  It should use vacuum to move the flap from the heater core to the evaporator case.  There should be a line running across the top of the fire wall.
