Title: pricing coon dogs Post by: big D on January 18, 2010, 01:54:05 pm i have two coon dogs that im looking to sale togther as a pair. one is a 1 and 1/2 old walker that will tree all day long if you holler at her she wont talk back but will find you with in 15 mintues. secound is a 3 yr old male walker that is a triple bred stylish freak show and will go till you get tired of going ;D. I am just wondering what they would be worth because i have got a guy wanting to buy them but i wont name a price. so what would you guys pay for dogs like that? Thanks a bunch

Some of it depends on what kind of pedigree the dogs have going for them or if you've done any competition with them. I'm not as spooled up on Walkers, but a nice Bluetick with a good pedigree and a few competition placings will run you around $850-$1800. I'd ask $1200 or so for your pair; you can always bargain down.

every good bluetick i've ever heard of or seen was trained by a walker dog .... but i also think with them dogs being so young that you shouldn't sell them for 1200 thats a little too much and if it doesn't have an show points or comp. points i'd sell them for 400 a pop at the most man i've ran walker dogs for 8 years and im a firm beliver that papers and a price tag dont make a dog you do ... good luck sellin your dogs |
