Title: Deer trapping/PETA Post by: DubbleRDawgs on February 03, 2010, 11:54:13 pm I guess you could say I really need a job because I have been looking through the newspapers and finding really neat articles. The one that I read today is about 22 Texas communities that have been given special permits to trap deer until Feb. due to over population in certain areas. The deal that is set up is for the deer to be caught then taken to a slaughterhouse and the meat donated to charity. I think it is a great deal. PETA has come in and tried to stop it, but did not. PETA's tactic to get rid of the deer is to cover all the vegetation and starve the deer. Hummm.....now doesn't something sound wrong here? Starve the deer or humanely have then processed and given to those that need meat. Thanks to the Texas Park and Wildlife they put their foot down on PETA with this issue. Would PETA rather see people starving like they are with today's economic problems or starve the poor deer that can give a child a full belly. Are PETA people vegetarians? Guess I need to meet one and ask. Does anyone know any PETA people? I like what Dexter wrote on another post: PETA- People eating tasty animals.

She said even having a dog as a pet is evil and compared the practice of pet ownership to slavery! She wasn't even all that hot!
Any port in a storm for some I guess? Title: Re: Deer trapping/PETA Post by: Eric on February 04, 2010, 02:54:44 am Thats desperate... :)

I can guarantee she is a lot more fun than a peta chick any day, and probably way better looking. She even comes with her own 4x4 truck and 4x4 wheeler.....
Seriously peta is a flawed cause, but what really had me going was their implementation of the Sea Kitten education program in schools. They want us to call fish Sea Kittens because nobody would want to eat something called a sea kitten. Google it, you will be amused. HSUS is another animal rights organization full of extremists. They are the ones behind some of the mandatory spay/neuter legislation in order to get a foot hold in the process. They too are against pet ownership, and are a wolf in sheeps clothing so to speak. They rake in millions of dollars per year for the sake of saving the animals, but do not operate even one shelter. All the monies are used to lobby for laws regarding your right to own animals.
