Title: Evening Hunt
Post by: Mike on June 19, 2008, 12:43:25 am
Matt and I were supposed to go with some good friends of ours to a place with hogs walking around everywhere that has never seen dogs before... but it didn't work out. :'( :'( :'(

So we went to an old faithful spot that we've only hunted once in the past several months. Ended up with three shoats and called it a night. ;D

Sounds like a good time.

Matt...you must have had a REALLY bad day, or you honestly didn't have a good time.  Thats the first picture I've seen where you weren't smiling ear to ear!

Sounds like a heck of a way to spend a weekday evening.  Birdie looks worn out.

Matt I don't know how you haven't lost that class ring on one of those hunts.  Mine is at the bottom of a tank...

Mike,

   Patience grasshopper!    ;D

The new place is gonna be fun, just have to get some wrinkles ironed out before we turn out. First scouting trip had good hogs crossing the road in front of us without a care in the world.

Glad to hear old faithful was a success. I would have rather been there, than doing what I was doing for sure!

HAHA I was on the way to full blown smile when Mike caught me off gaurd.  I wear my ring all the time and luckily I have popped my fingers for a long time, when I put it on it aint coming off.  As a side note I got to see what the hog sees when Clifford is closing in on em.  Two curs had cought this hog and Mike and I were seperated and I ran in and legged it but Mike did not know that so I am standing there crouched down telling the dogs to get ahead when I hear brush crashing and I look up and I get to watch clifford close in from about 35 yards and clobber the thing, pretty neat to watch his face and see how focused he was.

Go get 'em have you tried your new dog yet there is nothing like drowning young dogs in hogs. Great job guys all I have been doing is hunting not catching anything dogs cut and no hogs in one spot. It could be my sorry soup hounds couldn't find any in the other spot but who knows. Des

I guess i'm rubbing off on Matt... he's got the serious hog hunter look. ;D

Scott, she's in heat right now, but she'll be going every trip catching behind Clifford.
