EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

Was followed to 24 hr Wal-Mart in Pleasanton, TX and a PETA "member" opened my tailgate and dog box and cut my Dogo and BMCs loose in the parking lot.  Her husband followed me home and I did not know it until I got there.  I have built a 7' privacy fence around my kennels and have everything locked.  Several of my dogs have mysteriously "escaped" from there chains or kennels and then gotten out of the privacy fence...?  I have had threatening phone calls and I have no idea how they would have gotten my cell number.  I worry cause my kids play out front.  I've heard they can get very violent.  What do you think?

call the police   its harassment   and put masterlocks on ure gates   i have 2 pitbulls  1 in my house and 1 with my huntin dogs loose in the yard  get a description of the guy or girl and turn them in   they r not allowed 2 do anythimg 2 u without a law officer with them period  turn em in

Thats crazy I didnt know them people was around. They are lucky you got dogs that didnt eat their a$$ up. You need to call the cops.

Just a thought...   Just using Google, and information that you have in one post on a public site BayDog.com, I can tell what area you live in, your contact phone number, I can see that you have posted hog dogs on Craigslist ( a haven for PETA types).    I guess what I am saying is that you gave them your contact info by posting it on a public forum.    I would call the local sheriffs dept and at least inform them of what has been going on.

Once they messed with my property, I wouldn't have a problem anymore. 
PETA is basically a domestic terrorist group.  I say if you catch them in the act, excersize your legal rights.

One of the best things we all can do is inform ourselves on the mindset of these criminals. PETA is the group we all have heard of. But the Earth Liberation Front (ELF) and the Animal Liberation Front (ALF) house some of the more violent sickos. Both those groups have been responsible for numerous acts of terrorism both domestically and internationally. I put a link down at the bottom to ALF's primer for direct action. While PETA has definite spokes people and tries to pass themselves off as a legitimate political group, ALF and ELF stay a lot more shadowy. That is really messed up.  I have had a few problems with some crazies in the past. I use to get all kinds of hate emails and phone calls, but for some reason when they received  a letter from my attorney they quit harassing me. I think that they where more surprised that I had all of their information just from several emails.

Set up a few Surveillance and game cameras and catch them in the act and also create a list of the property damage along with pics of it so when you do catch the culprit you can send them the bill. Good luck and be safe!

I called the police after reading your post and they actually already know who they are.  You're right...they find people thru craigslist and then somehow find out where you live.  Crazy people.  I hope that they leave me alone cause it is getting really old.  Thanks for everything ya'll!!!

Like already said. If there still messin with you try to set up a couple of game cameras with the IR. that way if there coming in at night they wont see the flash of the camera. And you'll have them for trespassing and all. Hope that you can get them worthless suckers.

Flip the tables on them and hunt them down and see how they like it. When you find them beat that a$$, the fine wont be that much and besides it would be worth every penny.

The best squirrel dog I've ever had was stolen right out of my yard by a similar wacko.  I also applied for a job and while talking to the person in charge of hiring he brought up how I am "one of those nuts who take my dogs out and kill animals"  he was a card carrying member of PETA.  Needless to say, I didn't get the job.

Man thats crazy, soon as they would of cut them dogs loose if it would of been me I'd prolly be in the big house for whooping some dumbas* lol, hope you get all that resolved!!!

Has any follow through been done on the part of law enforcement? Were the loosed dogs recovered free from harm?

Please keep us updated. PETA is a most shameful blemish to our nation. I fully support our war on terror abroad, but I as well believe that we should have protection from domestic terrorists here at home. I think that PETA related attacks should be treated as hate crimes.

We had a rash of breakins and thefts in our neighborhood last year. I researched the castle doctrine and even spoke to my senator for more insight into its interpretation. You may want to read the castle doctrine so that you understand what your rights are in defending your home and your posessions.

If it is a member of ELF or ALF you have a legitimate cause to be worried for you and your family.  As Eric stated in the post above....KNOW YOUR RIGHTS and then keep a loaded gun nearby and keep an eye on your children.  I dont mean to scare you or sound like an alarmist, but you have been made a target and possibly by people who put animals above human life.  Not something to take lightly when dealing with ALF and ELF types.

I just Looked on the PETA web site I never knew that there were people that Stupid. Are they for real. I have heard about them before but didn't think that much about them .

We had a hog catching competition here in houston county last weekend and one of them crazies called the man in charge sayin that they would be out there to protest it but never showed up.  I got somehting for there a$$ if they come around my dogs and family.  I dont play that game.

     I am almost positive that a hog catching competition in Texas will attract more attention than just PETA, pretty sure it is a felony if you are caught!

I did not bother to post the statute, but if you don't believe me, keep posting about having a catch trial in Houston County and you will know what law is being broken soon enough ;) 

I personally could care less if someone wants to have a catch comp...but when you post it up on the WWW for all the world to read about, you are opening yourself up to a lot of potential grief.

It wasn't in a pen.  The 4-h held it and gave prizes for the most weight brought in. And the biggest boar and sow. they had to be dead and had to be a wild hog.

apparently we are talking about two different things here.

Catching Competition is usually in reference to a "catch comp" "Hog Dog Rodeo", etc. Where a hog is in a pen, and a catch dog is sent in to catch it.

I think you are talking about a Hog Hunting Competition...

The "pen" is the difference. Show a picture of a hog caught in a pen, and you are looking for trouble. Show a hog caught in a pasture and there is not trouble....

That my fault. I know a boy who had five dogs taken because of a video he posted on the internet of his dog catching in a pen. 

In the field my dogs won't bite or bother anybody BUT at home in their yard be careful which kennel you open..I own some man eaters...come on open that one..

i got a cur dog that is the same way. running around the wont bother anbody. but on his chain he will try to eat a stranger up. i dont know what it is about him bein on his chain.

 go get some 30 series bodygrip traps/ conibear traps. take some flat metal and cut teeth into the metal and cut the teethe from the plate, weld the teth to the jaws of the trap with it in the set/open position and leave a gate unlocked where the kids dont go and make sure tha family knows where the traps are and let peta come in and get caught in the trap. it takes a lot of strenght in the arms and legs to set those traps and a person cant open the trap with 1 leg in the jaws. when the law is called, tell them that you've been having varmint problems and the traps were set to catch the predators, the law reads that you have to ck your traps every 48hrs. so as long as you are ckn them with in the laws and they peta @#$%^ are caught trespassing you are in your legal rights to protect yourself, property and belongings.like was said use an IR trail cam and get them on pic and use it against them. pm me if you need help, i'll harass them like they are doing you and other like us.
