Title: 2 New Hog Doggers and 7 Hogs Post by: Bump on February 18, 2010, 02:32:48 pm I have been wanting to work just my dogs and bring both catch dogs for some time now. Typically I am meeting up with friends and splitting the pack.
I called my cousin up and asked him if he wanted to go with me and to maybe bring a buddy that liked to hunt. Both were new to hog doggin but not to hunting. I was hoping to pass along the addiction and maybe pick up a few new hunting partners.....and help. ;) We hit a big sounder that went to rallying. Luke split from the group on a solo and Bart held the group. Bart rolled out after each caught hog and ended with 3 100 + lb pigs. Moved pastures and hit another group that rallyed...sent catch dogs in and caught a big sow. Bart rolled out and bayed 125 yards again..sent Jack and Xerox in again. We decided to road the dogs a ways because somewhere someone had found a skunk and they werent riding in my front seat. ;D Bart cuts off the road 75 yards and bays. Sent Sis on and she rolled out before ending up in an armidillo hole. A little confused cause I knew she was on a track. We walked not 75-100 yards and Sis bays 30 yards from us...Bart joins in. Cut my light over and they have a nice boar who is plenty mad!
