EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

Rodney(NTHOGGIN) and another buddy of mine drove up to hunt this afternoon when I got out of class. The big deal around here for the past couple of months with the locals is the helicopter flying and killing hogs in the area I live. They didnt do so well the first time they flew last month, but they came again yesterday and I heard they did pretty well. We loaded up, I took Britany, June, and Daisy. Rodney brought Jesse.  Hunted one place, June left out, stayed gone about 20 minutes and barked. The hogs went over onto a place that I dont get on, so i waited her out. Got her back, went to another spot. After about an hour they found some. Caught one, they left, bayed about 2 miles away. Caught this FAT sow.

June and Brit rolled out before we could catch them, they went across the river about 1.5 mi and bayed again, on a place I dont hunt. Went and got them and the hog, called it a night. Enjoyed it Rodney, you're welcome to hunt with me any day.  So, even though the helicopter was supposed to be the best thing since sliced bread around here...they cant get them all!!!   ;D ;D ;D

good job man ,them choppers tried that  a couple of weeks ago around here but the thickets are too rough  to kill to many

Once again I had a blast.  It was good to see Jesse get out and work.  I'm starting to think he only likes running with the girls.  Can't blame him for that  ;D!

Choppers have been a waste around here for 20 years but there is a new crop of eggheads every year. :)
The more they fly the less they will get and not because they killed them all becase they trained them all.

I hope the choppers never open up when one of us or our dogs are in the area...I heard they shot a mans cow. How do you know when they are coming over your property...Dangerous!

good hog

I went hunting last Friday on property in south Fannin County that the chopper was supposed to have flew over the week prior. We found one dead hog but also bayed two large groups of pigs wound up catching eight all together. Dont think choppers getting 70 to 80 percent like news paper said they were going too.

Grant that is simple! if you hear gunfire coming out a helicopter they are there 8)....you betta duck fooo!

They have to have permission to fly over a mans land, they can't be hunting On the next property over and run a pack of hogs on yours and shoot them. That would be illegal.  They have to stop shooting at your property line they can keep flying but they cannot keep shooting  Not that it can't happen but I allready have my doubts that many of them operate honestly and ethically.
