EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

Figured I would post this story cause ain't no pictures!! Went hunting yesterday got my a$$ handed  to me!! First we pulled up to a feeder and turned Ike out and he went and bayed a good boar hog hog broke after a minute bay!!I sent 3 more dogs to the race!! they ran plum off the garmin so I got the wildlife out and they could not be picked up so we drove the direction they went and was able to get them with the wild life!! 3 hrs of solid running and no bay!!! I caught 2 of the four dogs crossing the road and left Ike and hershey running!! I seen the hog and Ike was pulling out wide and putting some heat on him!! He bayed so we walked in to him the hog broke again!! I said I got something In the truck for this hog!!!! >:D Two of the hide pullenest  SOB I ever seen!  >:D So I went and got them Soggy and Foghorn!! Ike had him stopped again so I got about a 100 yards and sent these 2 dogs!! He broke before they got there the race was on again!! This hog hit an 50 foot right away!!! The 3 dogs were pullin hide and hair off this hog and he would not turn to fight!!! After that the hog ran plum off the system's again (people don't trust that garmin it will not reach out there and grab one)!! Ike started this hog at 7:30 and I picked him and the other 3 dogs up at 5:30 crossing a road!! I don't hardly ever get out run but I will say this hog would not even turn back when they were setting him down!!! The guy said that the lease gets dogged hard and that there were atlest 2 people dog it a week!! He called one of the boys that dogs it and he said that they bay at that feeder all the time and get out run and never stop the hog again!! Ike got him to bay 4 times after he broke but we still did not pull it off!! But I got a game plain for that old educated hog!! I did not have enough speed on him to wind him at any point in time but I will put some running machines on him next round with Ike!!

i sure know what u mean about getting out ran. ive got a buddys place in moscow where we usually get out ran, but today we put the brakes on him, them long legged semi silent hounds put it on them today. hope u catch them.

I'm supossed to go to a place in moscow in a few weeks!! This is the first time I  have been out run in a long time!!

Hogs like that's what keeps you comin' back ;D   Can't wait to see what he looks like tied up!!!

Yea next after I tie him and cut him then he will be to fat and lazy to run to far!! ;D

Good luck next time, I have had to regroup and get a plan together for a few of those runners myself! After finally catching one of those runners, cutting him is what I like to call "cutting high gear out of him"!!!!

That's what makes hog huntin fun and where skill, knowlege, and some good luck or all three come in handy. Hope you have good luck next time.

ha, ha , Thats funny ward. I always see the success stories that you and krystal ( uglydog) throw out there , now i see she is the only professional catching machine on the board. lol.  He just educated you enough to piss you off , he didnt beat you because your probably like me , Im gonna win in the end. good Luck and good hunting , send pics of the tieing and cutting. lol

Harry, you take that back! I get smoked all the time, I am just too scared to admit it on this message board where everybody in the hog hunting world reads every day. I don't want to be thought of as any good at anything  ;)
