Title: Neutering
Post by: jerryg on March 16, 2010, 02:17:14 pm
I have decided to have my male agressive dog neutered.  I have a question, will I be able to run him (tracking wounded deer) with my female if she is in heat?  My concern is will his mind be in tracking or trying to mounting her?

my nuetered dogs could care less about a female in heat.  one was nuetered as a puppy and one when he was two or three years old.

We got ours one of my  moms dogs nuetered and the day he got nuetered he went and hunched one of my plotts thank god he was fixed and now he could pass a inheat dog and not think a thing about it just go right past her.

Most of our neutered dogs could care less about a bitch in heat. Most of these neutered males knew what they were before we neutered them, but still lost their sex drive. We have an aussie that was grown but still squatted to pee when we fixed him. He will to this day (4 years after neutering) mount and tie up with a bitch in heat. He is the only one who does this.

Cheers
