Title: Establishing Kennel Status Post by: Critter Catcher on March 16, 2010, 02:25:44 pm I see on this site that a lot of the members have kennel names and websites to show case their dogs and advertise services, ie feral hog removal, dog training, etc.. My question is how do you go about establishing a kennel name, do you have to file at the courthouse like a business DBA or is this something you just assign to yourself and go with it. I'm a small operation compared to most that I see but just curious as to the process.

There are quite a few sticky rules that I would make sure I fully understood before I ever established myself as a kennel.

Exactly why I decided to ask before acting, I want to know if there are benefits to establishing a kennel name or not. I have a real clean setup but someone can always find fault if they look hard enough. Can anyone give some indication as to some of the rules that apply to kennels or a link.. If you are in the county, I wouldn't know who to ask.

Cheers M i would say go to your county seat and talk with the county clerk if you live in the country. they should know something i would imagine. or the JP's office. |
