Title: Well its official! Post by: tnhillbilly on April 05, 2010, 04:26:25 pm Here is hoping that everyone had a great Easter weekend, and not forgeting what is is all about, not a rabbit that lays eggs, but our LORD and savior JESUS CHRIST.
Well, about the official part, I, tnhillbilly, have purchased a registered foundation stock black mouth cur. :o :o :o ;D. Me and the wife took my american bull dog down to tallahassee fla. to drop off for breeding, went on over to panama city beach, "wifes decision" :-\ not knowing about spring break. wasnt very pleasant, or family oriented at all. we left sun morning, stopped up in north east ga and picked up bonnie, my first BMC, and finally got home about 2:00 am. I will post pics and a little pedigree later. I seen W ben on her papers 3 - 4 times. but i have a question is it very common for them to be stump tailed, or red nosed? Title: Re: Well its official! 1.) Jesus Christ 2.) Black Mouth Curs 3.) American Bulldogs :) :) :) Good luck with your pup! Title: Re: Well its official! Post by: charles on April 05, 2010, 09:57:09 pm from what i've seen from randy wright's dogs, a big portion has a tail with a few being short on the rear. is it fully bobbed or is it a 3-4" stub? randy is 1 of a couple registries that register bobtailed dogs, most have to have a min of 3" of tail to register. i got a dog that goes back randy's yellowjacket and he is great and wouldnt trade him for a brass monkey, his pedigree has yellowjacket listed as father and grandfather 5-6x, and as far as the red nose, haven't seen a red nose on randy's site. here is his site if you dont have it, http://web.bigbend.net/users/wanda_wright/index2.html . this site list a lot of his dogs and give a background on them too. hope this helps

Post by: charles on April 06, 2010, 11:29:05 am You got some good blood in the dog, I hope she hunts like you want her to. I also hope the link i posted helped you out some with getting a better insite on the wright bloodline and breeding program he has.
Title: Re: Well its official! Post by: DanS on April 06, 2010, 11:30:06 am michelle mears from south florida bred up those registered dogs with the red noses....i don't know enough about what made up her lines too tell you if your dog's are out of her stuff, or how they are related, but that's where it comes from......
too further the point, i don't know if she is the one who put the red nose in, or if she got the first red nosed dogs from someone else, and then continued to breed it through.....i'm not sure.... as far as how them registered dogs acquired a red nose.......well i guess that a story for around the campfire...... ;) your dog looks very typical of what she was producing Title: Re: Well its official! I also hope the link i posted helped you out some with getting a better insite on the wright bloodline and breeding program he has. yes thank you very much, there was a dog or two that looked idetical to bonnie on that sight. tht is what i was wanting to know if it was common, the tails and the light colored noses.I hope she suits me too, the only thing is i aint going to get to hunt her til she has pups, and gets back in shape. i know that i could, and have heard that it somehow helps the pups, but i payed too much money for her to take a chance on loosing her and pups too. Title: Re: Well its official! Post by: airduster29 on April 06, 2010, 06:43:35 pm yes that is a well breed dog she wont disapoint you when u get pups on the ground let me know

Title: Re: Well its official! Post by: tnhillbilly on April 07, 2010, 09:14:20 am not yet, affraid to hunt her til she has pups but might take her a time or two.
Title: Re: Well its official! Post by: parker on April 07, 2010, 03:08:07 pm did you get to see her work ? i was just curious .....
Title: Re: Well its official! Post by: tnhillbilly on April 07, 2010, 06:22:05 pm against my better judgement, i did not. i bought her from a pretty reputable feller, and talked to a couple people that has delt with him. everyone that i talked to said that he was a straight shooter. did get a money back guarantee on her. I might have made a big mistake, but only time will tell, and it wouldnt be the first one i ever made. rolleyes. she was bred back to another well bred BMC so the blood is there, so worse case scenario, i bought a litter of pups. lol ;D
Title: Re: Well its official! Post by: parker on April 07, 2010, 11:08:48 pm hope it works out for ya ......gonna be a hard ajustment for ya going to a cur from hounds ...... not many stocks of curs will hunt sign like a hound ..... good luck with it ....
Title: Re: Well its official! Title: Re: Well its official! I still have plenty of hounds, and a couple of crosses. ;) Title: Re: Well its official! Post by: Pudge on April 10, 2010, 09:48:33 am Good looking dog. Good luck with her.
