Title: 12 Hog Weekend Post by: Texas_Cur on April 11, 2010, 07:10:58 pm My brother (Cull Buck) and I invited Bryant and Daryl down to make a hunt with us on Saturday morning. Matt and Clay met up with us in the morning as well, and we caught one decent boar and 3 smaller hogs. We got rained on for a bit, but still had a good time with some good folks.
Sunday morning Cull Buck, Clay and I met Courtney, Sticka Dan and Tait at the same spot to make another run. The dogs bayed up a huge sounder of around 30 hogs, and we managed to catch 7 decent hogs off the group. Later in the morning the dogs struck up another hog. Peachez and Tank showed some great bottom, as they ran the hog about 2 miles before they bayed and we got to them. Clay- How's Birdie? Matt- Thanks to you and your new toy, I have a feeling you've cost me a lot of money in the very near future. Darrell called me this evening and said when he went to feed today, PD didn't come out of her barrel like normal. Pulled her out and started looking her over, and she had a cut under her neck and another on her belly. Nothing some antibiotics won't fix, but we sure didn't notice it Saturday. We had a great time, and look forward to meeting up again soon! Getting to catch that many at one time is always fun, especially when you walk another few steps and jump up another. Hogs were runnin everywhere. Cant wait to go again. Wish I could have made it with yall saturday, but sounds like yall had a good day then too.
