Title: Hunting mishaps, got pics? Post by: Circle C on April 28, 2010, 08:59:37 am As some of you that have hunted with me know, I have a tendency to take vehicles in places they were never intended to be. In doing that I have been stuck a time or two rolleyes
Here's a little gap that got me a few weeks ago in Waller county. It wasn't getting stuck that bothered me so much...it was being pulled out by a Polaris that really hurt ;D (http://i129.photobucket.com/albums/p204/ccoughran/CIMG0048.jpg) Let's see some of y'alls pics.... If I am not mistaken, there was a certain amount of embarrassment and a plea for anonymity taken into consideration. The proprietor of said event may have snapped a personal keep sake after we had it secured with chains and winches though. Steve Title: Re: Hunting mishaps, got pics? Post by: matt_aggie04 on April 28, 2010, 10:41:17 am I was wondering what happened to the pics of that day, somewhere there is a pic of my ranger contest weekend BURRIED with Clay pulling me out. My cousin got a 6 month old rhino stuck in a dry creek bed our deer lease in west Texas. He was alone and coming back the following weekend so he just walked back to his truck and left it there. During the week a storm blew up and it rained 7" in about an hour and half and when he showed up the following weekend all you could see was the top of the roll bar haha. We later dug it out and it was a total loss. That fine red clay was in EVERYTHING and due to some undescovered phenomanon nearly all of the wiring was gone! The air intake was level full of mud and when he tore the motor apart the cylinder it self was full of mud. That really fine clay/sand had found its way into every place it could. I wish I had pics of it, it was comical and depressing at the same time 8)

I had to get pulled out by a ARCTIC CAT!! Now thats embarassing!! >:D Title: Re: Hunting mishaps, got pics? I can't argue with that.... about 10mph more and I would not have any complaints. Nothing like having to get out on an FM road and travel several miles getting to the dogs, maxed out at 25mph, while Matt and Clay are zipping past on their hot rod UTVs. Title: Re: Hunting mishaps, got pics? Post by: Circle C on April 29, 2010, 08:16:33 am Josh,
I am pretty sure this is the pic you are talking about.... This was taken at our place in Leon County. The following morning Mandi and I met Matt and Mike at a place I have off Hwy 7 for a hunt. It was 17 degrees out, and I just about could not unload my fourwheeler. I loaded it up while wet, and set the parking brake. Overnight everything froze solid, and I spent some time trying to get the brakes loose so I could unload the wheeler. Then 10 minutes into the hunt we had a decent boar bayed in a creek! No matter the contest result, we were not getting any cookies without sacrificing the nookie! :( Title: Re: Hunting mishaps, got pics? ( EXCEPT )when you gotta say you got pulled out by a Polaris. haha, I've got a video of my foreman pulling out a loaded down ranger hooked to another 4-wheeler. Pulled them both out of a bad mud hole without any trouble. I'll dig it up Title: Re: Hunting mishaps, got pics? Post by: aladatrot on April 29, 2010, 12:39:19 pm We were out at 90 one weekend and stopped to help a friend who got his polaris 4 wheeler stuck down in a mudhole off an embankment. A ranger, a rhino, and then a Razr all gave it a whirl trying to pull him out for a couple of hours. In the end, our two old beat up foremen got him unstuck. There was quite a bit of ribbing going on that night.
Gotta love "Big Bad"... Cheers M Title: Re: Hunting mishaps, got pics? Post by: cward on April 29, 2010, 02:22:17 pm (http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp85/cryward/1023081611.jpg)
This is one that we came up on while hunting this was a survey crew and we took the time out of our busy day to laugh!!! They were surveying for the gov. that bought the land and now won't let anyone hunt it!!! But we did go ahead and pull them out!! They told us the last one they stuck they left it and claimed it on insurance I tried to convince them to leave this one!! ;D (http://i400.photobucket.com/albums/pp85/cryward/apr-may08288.jpg) This one was Clint Millican I pulled up on this and laughed it was cold that morning!!! We were seeing who could get to the bay first I won!!! ;D Title: Re: Hunting mishaps, got pics? Post by: UNDERDOG on May 01, 2010, 02:56:21 am This was the first and last time I ever took my dad hog hunting about 11 years ago, first thing in we near stepped on one of the biggest copperheads I ever seen, then the dogs struck and LEFT then the bottom fell out and it rained hard for a coupple hours so we went back to the trucks to go head to were we thought the dogs headed and ended up in this ditch that took all day till right at dark to get me out, took a Z-71 and a jeep to no avail,we finally went and got a old chain hoist and pulled me out...long,crappy day and no hog in the end either ha ha Dad thanks I am crazy and ain't never been again.
