Title: Raw meat question
Post by: dub on May 11, 2010, 09:40:44 pm
Starting to move over to raw meat. I know the poop gets nasty but my boy has to clean it. ;D The amount of poop has decreased as I added more meat and less fry food. But today he said one was half green. Would the green poop be because of the meat or something else?

When I was feeding raw the poop was dry and turned to dust when they stepped on it, never had it come out green.  What type of meat are you feeding?

Must be the meat. I never saw that kind of crap with my dogs the 3 years I fed raw. I fed baged chicken. They need more then scraps off deer and hogs. Chicken is 5.56/10lb at wal-mart. Bones and all are great for them. Just dont cook or heat up the meat. I also fed cooked rice as a filler along with green beans and alittle garlic powder.

I don't know why it would be green unless it was the day after St. Patricks day and he had one to many green beers.  ;D

One thing I learned from feeding raw was to either feed all raw or feed all kibble.  If you try to feed them both you just end up with nasty runny pop.
