Title: garmin gone nuts

was going to put a new card in my garmin and when i went to open the back up the screen came on without even turning the power button on, took the batteries out and the screen went off,put the bats back in the screen comes on and none of the keys will work...just used it las sat nite and it workd fine has never been wet or anything...was wondering if anyone has had this problem and wat i can do to fix it

It sure sounds like some moisture got to it some how. I have had electronics go nuts on me like that just because of condensation from rapid temperature changes.
Maybe Garmin could shed some light on it. Try giving them a call Monday.

Hey Goose it sound like some moisture got in it.      Give me a call , I will be around till Friday then I have to go to the gulf for the oil spill for a week.   Will

once the moisture problem is resolved if it is or not there is also a way to rest it by holding power and enter button at same time i heard....check into it :)

tried the reset thing and nothing....just dont understand how moisture couldve gotten in it it was working fine lastweek and been in the truck ever since and the temp ha really been the same...anybody else know of a way to do a master reset on them

warrenty is one year but my buddy got one fixed that was out of warrenty for $150 it would drop signal after 400 yards.

in the menu some where i saw a factory default option that is the only other thing i have seen as far as resetting
