EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

The dogo is such a "young breed" it's probably not far to compare them to the miniature Poodle.  The poodle has been around for hundreds of years with so much success as the ultimate CD.  When you compare courage and just plain toughness the poodle wins hands down.  Jaw power is a little closer contest     but from what I have seen the poodle wins here as well.  What do y'all think?

ok hear is the out come took dog out side he bit me got him off took dog to hog pin he bit me got dog off thru dog in pin hog bit him no more bittin dog got back to house fixin dog bits and mom came in and beat me did not go good ;D

 My dogs woke me up around 2 o'clock this morning raising cane at a little red fox that loves to torment us around that time a few nights a week. I came back in and found this thread so I commented. :o
 I thought I had dreamed it! lol Anyway, I had to modify it this morning after reading what I wrote. It was truly all in fun but pretty smart azz so I figured it was best. I just can’t take a chance of getting the boot before the next Hound vs Cur debate!  rolleyes ;D

i dont know about that but the poodle i took out was badd he killed 4 junbugs and a fly 2 days ago ;D ;D ;D

When i graduated and moved out my mom replaced me with a minnie aussie, i keep telling her im going to take him out hunting and she gets plum mean,  but whats even better my girlfriends mom replaced her with a pot belly pig, it weighs like 150, i keep telling her im going to let my pit joker loose in her yard,  she gets even madder then my mom

I been searching for a minature poodle all morning on craigslist. Price is comparable to a DOGO and just as rare! :o

You said it all right there Reuben...Last Christmas about two weeks before actually, I spent every last second dog hunting the internet for some kind of minature dog for the house for the wife...im talking about 1500 for a purebred minature poodle and that was cheap apparently ???...I raised all kinds of hell about spending good money on a minature dog that don't hunt ;D, finally gave in  and spent well over 500 for a lil yorkieXnumber 2zu...Ended up eating my words, the dog was like a lil kid and ended up being a part of the family for awhile

You should have your medication checked. I don't know what you are taking but you better leave that stuff alone.

I'm going to choose dogo only cause I don't like kinky haired dogs!! Even though the poodle would be cheaper to feed!! ;D

It should always come down to which one is cheaper or which on is FREE. apparently nothing in the world can beat a FREE DOG!

Money not the issue here fellows, let's not go back down that road.  The onlything we need to concern ourselves about is performance.  If we are all truely honest with ourselves we all know that the miniature Poodle is totaly superior to the dogo in any and all categories period!!!!!!!!

well I guess in all fairness I have never seen a miniture poodle hunt so I can't really comment on that. Have you ever seen one in the woods to HONESTLY make that comparison?? or just talking out of your A$$??? I mean SERIOUSLY... have you ever even heard of someone hunting a mini poodle????????????????? if so please give me their info so I can enlighten myself.

I caught a lil baby shoat over the weekend (tiny like less than 4 lb)... didn't think about it until I got home but I wished I had brought it home and gotten a video of my girlfriends 5 lb. chihuahua baying the crap out of it. dang... it would have been the funniest video ever.

Now I would say there are some good genetics at work in that pic, but that is one ugly dog.  ;)

If I remember the story correctly, that is Marshall's sister and her little schnauzer. Said he was a heck of a dog, but never came back from a hunt.

My wife has a Yorkshire Terrier that 13 years old now. We used to let her come with us to the baypen when she was younger...all 3 pounds of her ;D

In a pen full of hogs...she ignored the small ones and went straight to baying the biggest one in the pen...she's bayed a few 150-200 pound hogs ;)

Since were on the subject How do all of you even catch hogs without these great white unicorns I am so fond of  ???

I use 4 pitbulls where Im sure you only use one Dogo!

We use a catchdog.  ;)
