Title: Dry spell over
Post by: hillbilly on July 18, 2010, 05:37:26 am
Went out tonight and caught 2 little fat guilts. So my 6 or 7 week long dry spell is over. I guess the only reason we caught these is because one guy had a cur that would catch. Chased a few more but didn't get them stopped. These things were in the soybean fields and the beans aren't close to being ready. Can someone answer why they are in beans so early? Anyways didn't get any pics just brought them home and relocated them.

We have made several catches in and around soy bean fields. Around here at night the beans have dew all over them and we have noticed that the dogs like running through them to stay cool. How tall are they? Around here the soybeans are are also around corn so the hogs use the beans as cover as they travel to the corn to eat.

They about knee high. No corn real close. Yea the beans were pretty wet. The farmer said he jumped big boar in beans last week while he was spraying in middle of the day.
