Title: emma and gunner
Post by: cole newsom on September 15, 2010, 10:32:25 pm
i had 4 65 70 pd pigs in a trailor that a guy gave me to work my pups with today. got home turned my 14mth yellow black mouth curr (gunner) and emma a 14mth old kemmer curr out. they both headed straight to back of pasture where pigs were. gunner who has been in tha woods and been on plenty of pigs, ran circles around tha trailor bayin his head off. while emma who is pretty new at this, sticks nose in trailor to get a wif of what it was, gets popped pretty hard on tha nose by one of tha bigger boars. i thought it was funny but apparently emma didnt. she went nuts. excited that she showed intrest i raised gate on trailor, and tha race was on. gunner close behind tha pig, reaches up and spins him around on tha pool dam, and befoe gunner could even get 3 bays out of his mouth emma smacks this pig from outta nowhere. not sure if im right or wrong, but i dont really want my bay dogs catchin, so i legged tha pig and made her back up and bay. turned him loose again and off they went to tha woods this time. i had shorts and tennis shoes on, so i stayed at tha fence. wasnt long and gunner opend up again, then emma ,then tha squill. emma killed it, and gunner never stoped bayin. it was fun for me, and good for my dogs. what yall think. good for 2 young dogs, or could that be bad habit formin?

Looks to me you got some up and coming hog dogs.

The kemmer mtn curs are bred to hunt and some have a ton of grit. :)
