Title: Boar Sheilds..
Post by: uglydog on October 20, 2008, 09:17:37 am
I never though much about before watching the Bloom Brothers Video and seeing the White Rhino, who had trendous "flaps" hanging down past the shoulders of the sheild, very freakish looking. Then the other day when we caught the spotted boar, I noticed his Sheild was dropped more so so then usual. He was nothing comapared to the one in the video but it was definate noticeable

Has anybody else got any stories or info on these longer sheilds?

I have seen that a few times in the Goliad area, and in all cases the hogs were that white spotted kind. I have never seen that on any other color of hog.

We caught an old boar years ago in the national forest. I bet his shields were 1 1/2" thick and went all the way back to his hind quarters... haven't seen one with that much shield since then.
