EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

It's been a great while since i posted and longer since was on a hog hunt and I really enjoyed the wounded warrior hunt that Chris and Mike put on.  I am stuck on a Job up in the Texas panhandle and surrounded by hunters.  we were talking about hog hunting and putting together a trip so i get excited and as i am sitting in the group listening to them and they are going on and on about the dangers of hunting hogs in a elevated blind...  with a sniper rifle...  shooting hundreds of yards...  it's sad.  i mean really sad.  bear hunting with pistols is a cake walk next to hunting behind dogs with just your reflexes and some mule tape.  knowing your partners and their dogs are relaying on you to keep em' safe. 

well i just wanted to say i had a great time and that taking a live tied hog out of the woods is my greatest hunt and my fondest hunting memory.  it's better than bear, first deer, elk, just about anything you can name.

You are right my brother... There's not much to compare it to. You need to get away from work and get into the woods. Shoot me a PM if you very head to the Houston area our woods are a little less open, lol...

Mike, I sure enjoyed the hunts you made with us... you need to get back down here and do it again.

I wouldnt just say ruined id say your also on the fast track to being broke!! but your right though no better adrenaline rush..

The others will never understand until they do it themselves ;D
