I have heard Chihuahua's that sounded like a flock of geese but never heard a puppy that sounded like a murder of crows! lol It sounds like she may have gotten her head hung in the door a few times and is probably overly sensitive about it. Either way she thought she was saving a pup so you have to give her a pass on this one bud! :D Title: Re: crazy lady Post by: JDJP on October 22, 2010, 07:07:15 am And shes probably on another forum talking about her crazy neighbor. " I heard crazy noises coming from his truck, so I thought maybe one of his pups had gotten stuck somewhere, while I was looking for the pup, he comes running out with a gun yelling at me to get away from his truck, and starts trying to explain that the noises were recordings of crows on a CD! Crazy guy, why can't he just listen to real music?
And if you have neighbors that close, how were you just gunna start blasting crows? Hey did you guys now you can't hit a crow with your car. Because theres always another one in a tree warning the others CAR CAR CAR! :D Title: Re: crazy lady Post by: dub on October 22, 2010, 08:01:58 pm (http://i105.photobucket.com/albums/m239/iwan207/Smiley/2018E.gif)

"a murder of crows -This more poetic term for a flock of crows can be traced back at least to the 15th century, when it was recorded as a murther of crowes. Murther is a variant of Middle English murthre 'murder,' though the th sound had begun to be replaced with a d around 1300 C.E. There are several theories as to how this particular term came about, but all of them have to do with the supposed behavior of crows. For instance, crows are scavengers and therefore often seen feeding on rotting bodies of various sorts. Survivors of wars have described how the battlefields were covered in black as crows (and ravens) came down to eat the dead. Another theory hearkens back to old folklore which told of groups of crows essentially holding court over members of their flock that had committed offenses. If they decide against the "defendant" crow, then the rest of the flock swoops down on it and kills it. There are legends outside of the Germanic culture that relate to crows being judges over people as well, and how their appearance is an omen of death." sounded good to me.
