They smell different because they are rodents so the dogs should know it is not a pig. I know some people that have skunk dogs but no javelina dogs!

Definitely the 1970's era by the looks of those pics. I sent some mtn cur pups to Mexico for Javalina hunting. Those guys over there in the desert don't have hogs so they run Javalina with dogs.
