Bad bad idea they can turn 90 degrees and lick their but also don't slash a dog but bite nd bite repeatedly.  Don't know from experience just talking to guys.  Also they will gang up on dogs bad.

I have heard that if your dogs get on one they will get hurt. You have to get in quick and shoot the javelina or dogs will tore up. They smell different because they are rodents so the dogs should know it is not a pig. I know some people that have skunk dogs but no javelina dogs!

They are rodents not pigs at all. Like Nutria and such.

There comes the Bedazzling. I was at Hobby Lobby with my wife and daughter. I saw iron on bedazzle and thought about you. I figure I could iron on so bedazzle stuff on the pink cut vest and pink cut collar. Then the hogs would just stop and stare like they were spot lighted!

Talks about not many predators will attack other than a Mountain Lion so dogs are a bad idea.  http://www.toddshikingguide.com/FloraFauna/Fauna15.htm.

Always heard the best javelina dogs were the ones that would go bark at them, then haul a$$ back to the truck and jump in the back where it was safe. Then use a shotgun to shoot them. They will chase the dog back to the truck.

That's some good looking walker dogs. Definitely the 1970's era by the looks of those pics. I sent some mtn cur pups to Mexico for Javalina hunting. Those guys over there in the desert don't have hogs so they run Javalina with dogs.

Javelinas are not rodents......I have heard that alot but they arent even closely related to rodents. in fact their closest relative is PIGS and hippos. here is a good website
