What breed o dogs? Bulldogs can have hereditary skin condition called "ich",short for icthiosis or something like that, real scaley, leather like skin, u can see it sometimes as early as 4-5 days old. wont be red and itchy like mange though

it could be a fungus, or a mite or several otyher conditions more info would be helpful

Growing up we had a dog hat had  a type of mange that is genetic, the mom as a carrier and a few dogs out of each lter had the symptoms, it's rough as he hgot older it got worse, very sad it would come and go we had him for years and finally had to put him down it was not contagious

X2 it is great when you don't know what it is because it treats so much. I like to mix it with baby oil so I can work it in better.

IMO it looks like that pup is scalded, i would wash it good with some Ketochlor shampoo for a few days and keep their bedding clean.  Does it smell?  Its definately not red mange (hereditary) and it doesnt look like sarcoptic either.

Looks like a fungus to me. After you bath them, spung them down with vinegar. This will cure a fungus and its safe.

It looks like is "red mange" won't show up in all pups- the female is the carrier- it is passed on through genes and is non cureable. I went through the same thing several yrs back and put all pups down and fixed the female!! Don't want this gene passed on! But u should have it checked by vet to make sure! It can be managed with several out breaks here and there- some worse than others! Good luck...... O0

Looks like red mange to me which is hereditary.. But ive cured it in my pit before... You need to get a dip called taltic very strong dip and use 10 cc per gallon of warm water sponge it over the pups once every week for 2 months. It appears when a pup or dog stresses out like in my pit.... We got her over it in 2 months hair fully grown back put her back in her kennel she stressed out and had to do it all over but as long as she was running around or on a cable where she could see us whenever we were out side she was fine but once u put her in that kennel few days later it was back. We even tried other kennels and still came back... So you may need to take them to the vet and talk to them would be my best advice cause if it is red mange and u use the wrong stuff it makes it more irritated.. And they can give them antibiotics to help with the itching.

The only way to be for sure is to do a skin scrape. There are different types of mange. It's a mite that causes it and can only be seen through microscope. If it's demodex than the puppy could have a big problem. Two things with demodex first it's hereitary second thing the puppy has a weak immune system. If it's the scabie type of mange than you can fix that but it's contagious to humans and to dogs.
There all types of home remedies:
nu- stock, broax, ACV, happy jack, motor oil the list goes on. I would suggest before you do anything find out want you're dealing with. The last thing you want to do is is start treating scabie mange than find out you have demodex mange. You can PM me for more info on either one.
good luck
