Then if they lay on it the dog will be out of sight too.not know what it was for so I wrapped a colllar around it and someone stole both of them. Title: Re: shirt trick works Post by: aladatrot on November 29, 2010, 11:33:07 am I used to wear a cheap "wife beater" tank top under my clothes. I had "IF DOGS FOUND CALL" and my phone number written on it in black sharpie. Figured if I needed to leave anything, it would be best to leave my contact information there as well. Luckily, I can't think of a time when I have had to leave a shirt even when we ran those blasted long range all night dogs. Now I'm down to my short range Lizzie dog, the greyhound who comes back if there's no action, and a catch dog with a handle on him. I guess I'm comfortable enough that I'm no longer wearing disposable shirts under my clothes. If the garmin doesn't get them back, the quick track has done the trick.
It sure is cheaper to part with a tank top than a carhartt though. Just wear the tank under your clothes where it can pick up your scent, and leave it when you have to leave your dogs. Cheers! He barks because he doesn't want to get left, the lost dogs hear the "bay" if they are anywhere within earshot, and the usually honor it. I don't do this except in a situation where I have to get them caught now because I don't want to tease my dogs with a fake bay. However, when unfortunate events led to a bull dog and a greyhound running hot laps in down town Burton, TX and then hunting in their nature trail area for tourists, a barking dog got them caught up before they found 290. That works too.
