I'll give you my opinion on the subject. If your talking about BMC's, they are dogs registered with the Foundation BMC registrey. If your talking about the dog that was the foundation of that registry, that would be Weatherford's Ben. The thread on here about Howard Carnathans dogs, was about the dogs that were the foundation of his line of dogs. The dogs that started  the line.

Ok if u go to buy a dog and they say it is foundation bmc what does that mean  I know vary little to nothing about dog lines other than they hunt lol

It means that he is registered with the foundation registry and is of Randy Wrights breeding, which is mostly Weatherford's Ben blood that is line bred. It's like everyone elses dogs, you get some good ones, some sorry ones, and all in-between the two.

x2 Doesnt mean they are better than anyone elses line of bmc just better advertised

Most old timers that breed working dogs never brought up Foundation but there again they were not trying to sale dogs!  I was working cows with a old timer and another guy he said he went and bought a foundation yellar dog we used all are dogs that day and at the in of the day the old time said if you would have ask I would have gave you a good pup but what ever foundation  you bought that dog from better be strong cause I would crack the concrete with his head!
