I'm curious as to how everyone found this website. The increased traffic and multiple new registrations daily amazes me. It looks like we will also hit 1 1/2 million page views this month. :o

Besides a few t-shirts and stickers out there, we don't advertise. We don't pay to be at the top of the internet search engines, but we're usually in the top 5 by doing various searches. I've gotten several calls from companies wanting me to pay a monthly fee to put us there. ;D

It just blows my mind and i'm curious how everyone found us?

I was in a real bind after eating something that didn't agree with me. Stopped at a C-store in a rough part of town, and while I was doing my business I saw some writing that said.

Actually, I was a member of a different message board, and the head honcho over there had a tendency to fly off the handle. I started looking for a different message board to hang out at, and found ETHD.

It's been so long ago...I don't even remember. There was just a few of us when I joined  ;)

i found it surfing the net.  hog hunting, hog dogs, bay dogs, catch dogs.

 I have noticed lately that if you look up just about anything on hog hunting,   it has been discussed in some way, on ethd,  so when you google, or search,  it will link to a thread.

Found this site through a Post on Texas Boars. You see alot of Forums come and go, but this one keeps getting better. Congrats to the ones that run it.

After I lost my first pack a dogs I could not get ahold of 7M kennels Where I got my first dog and a friend told me to look on ETHD that he had good luck getting some young dogs off the dog trade.....So thanks to Chase I end up on here almost every day at some point in the day!!!

A friend and a man I respect started the site. I joined and have been a regular visitor. I also saw it on a gas station stall in Johnson City :).

I remember Sean and Mike talking about making this site while hunting many moons ago.  It was just an idea then and Sean sat down and built it and we try to keep it running smoothly.  I take a lot of pride in being part of this site from the beginning even though I havn't exactly contributed a lot to it I enjoy being a close part of it and have made some truly life long friends through this site.  People I would have never met otherwise I have been able to meet and hunt with and enjoy our free time and common interest in working dogs and the outdoors.  This site is prolly a bigger part of all of our lives then we even realize.

Damn I am up to 35. Well Mike I look at it this way "some things are better left unsaid". My wife takes up my slack when it comes to posting.

i found it the same way as tnhillbilly. i was at the house serching for cut vests and somehow came across it. been hooked ever since

I got it from a post on biggamehoundsmen.com

I was talking to a guy about where to find a good BMC pup. He offered 2 suggestions ETHD and Baydog.com. I got my pup off Baydog.com but find the dog trade on here more useful since most of the adds are fairly local.

I did a search for catch dogs which led me to baydog.com where I found an ad for a cd that I didn't get but the man told me to look on the dog trade here. It's been an addiction ever since, my wife hates it, I love it, and I have since infected some others who have become regulars on here. I have learned most of what little I know so far from reading the discussions on here or talking to or hunting with people from here. There are all kinds of people on here but I have met some of the best folks around through this site. Thanks to all who contribute here.

Had a couple buddies tell me they liked the stories and info. that was posted on this site, so I "googled it" and got registered...my wife hates it too, she says; "You hog hunt all day and then stay on the computer lookin' and readin' about hogs all night...you don't ever get enough?" I say; "Guess not...got to be good at somethin'!"  ;D

I was laid up for alittle while and don't like TV much at the Time did not even have a TV! Hated a computer because it was to slow! So we got high speed and I started looking for something to read and there she was!

My wife is the one that wrote it in the bathroom Stalls! She said it will keep all the men from going crazy and leave their wives alone!

I don't drink
Don't smoke
Don't do drugs
Don't dip
But I do alot of ETHD!!
I like the reading and being able to joke and laugh with some good new friends since I have been here!

I used to read the dog section of another board a while back and found out about it there and started reading here.  Then that board went crazy and i got banned one day so i get my dog fix here now. I'm not even sure I had hog dogs when I first got on here.  Maybe just one blood tracker.  I blame y'all for the other six.   ;D  


Actually, if I had to place specific blame the first hog doggers i met were Circle C, Aladatrot, Critter, and Eric followed shortly by Longshot, Mr Mason and Bump.  That's what I tell the wife anyway.

He's telling the truth.  I saw Crystal in there.  It ain't her first time in the mens room either.  She draws a mean Circle C.

Coinsidently, I saw Jesse Paul coming out of the ladies room across the hall that day.  I'm not sure what that was all about.   >:D

I was too effective at work and was making way too much money so I went looking for something that would allow me to waste hrs upon hrs of time while at work.  ETHD was the perfect fit!

He was trying to advertise the Nolove break stick that he found on ETHD!!

Had a huntin buddie tell me about it. Now most of my down time is spent on here. So far 13 days worth. lol.

RockinJ.  I had gotten out of the hog chasin business about six years ago and was lookin to find some dogs again.  Took a good screwin from a horse trader and then found some real nice people on here.  Then I was hooked.  My wife calls this my facebook.  I like all the info and jokes and like helping others when ever I can.  I'm lookin forward to meeting more of you.  Unfortunatly alot of you are a long ways away. I havent found too many on here in South Central TX, and the few I have found I know.  Thanks again to the admin for coming up with the idea and makin it happen.    Patrick

 I posted an add on craigs list looking for a bmc, and TWilbanks called about this ugly lil red and whit cur pup he had. Went to pick him up, met Trent and he told me about it.

My brother told me about it. I didnt think much of it at the time but know I look at it first thing when I get up. A couple of hours during the day and before I go to bed. Yep Im hooked.

Found it off texas boars.  Funny how litterly addicted I am to this place my wife reads just about as much as I do she likes the drama lol.  Met some really good folks here and hope to meet more.  Thanks guys

U got that right!! My lacys r awesome!!! Lol and I do really enjoy this website. Colt got me hooked on the site. It has been my only saving grace this month having to be in the city for work training. I'm not a city girl and don't do good in the metroplex for any extended period of time and this site has kept me sane!! Thank y'all so much!!!! The drama does get funny but thanks to the moderators it doesn't get out of hand.

i was lookin up stuff on cowdogs (head dogs of course) think i looked up cow bayins,  and got a link for the report from bigo, i beleive, on the smithville trials last year. recognized the names of some guys i knew or had heard of at the trials, clicked the link and it brought me here. recognized some guys here i knew or had heard of too. havent missed many days checkin in since. i have probably hog hunted less than about anybody on this site, but whether hog hunters or cow catchers, cur dog guys all seem alot alike. ;D

Sc hog wild and myself hunt together. He told me about this site. I reckon he figured if his wife was going to be mad at him for hunting all day and looking at this site all night then mine was to. lol

My son was always on here and he got me hooked!

Some friends of mine from another message board kept telling me about this one.

I had a friend tell me about the site. I registered, then didnt come around for a little while because I wasnt into the whole internet forum gig. But then I found myself needing some knowledge and and no one to ask. I got on here started searching, and I dont think there's been a day this year I havent logged on to ETHDs. I've said it before but I dont think I'll ever say it enough. Thank you board members for setting this up, regulating it, and being there when we less knowlegable doggers need it.

Mike ,   this site has went way beyond anyones expectation.   im proud to be one of the guys that has been here since the begining.
 

I was looking for a dog and found a whole series of culls and potlickers :laugh: just kidding, this place  has been incredibly helpful and along the way I've learned to tie a rappa tappa hooey, stand several feet behind a hog for pictures, Photoshop some teeth, always check for mulefoot before sticking and that Mike don't smile for the camera  :laugh:

This site is truly amazing and the best waste of 21days 7hours and 33minutes I've ever found.

Buddy of mine told me if I want to meet some people that was just as crazy about chasin bacon as us SC boys to look it up so I did and he was right seems like every one here really loves the sport of hog huntin and talkin trash
