I need a good way to train my pup to bay a hog any suggestions :o

If the pup is old enough, I usually start them on small hogs with help from an older dog.  The older dog will instigate the trouble and keep the pup interested.  I use small hogs so that the pup doesn't take the kind of whoopin that will kill the confidence he needs to keep on baying as i introduce bigger hogs over time.

yea we caught a couple of baby pigs and they werent doin nuthin but i bet if one barked it would be all over well there getting better

Just let the mom bay at pig. Put the pig inside the pen and the dogs outside. The pen should be big enough for the dog to run the pig from one side to the other. Look for the pups that really want the pig. You can't make a dog hunt. I used simple hog panels from tractor supply to make the pen. This is just so the pups can learn what a hog is and learn bout working the pig as a group. Then when they are old enough start seeing what they will do in the woods.
