Title: need some ideas Post by: digemdown on January 06, 2011, 08:53:41 pm I need some ideas on kennels that have been made out of wood (floor) I know there are some floating around on here, I've tried to find them but cant. If you have any pics or feedback I'd appreciate it. My plan is to do 2x6 floor 16x10 4 kennels total, the kennels are going to be 4x8.

Title: Re: need some ideas Post by: DangerZone on January 07, 2011, 09:53:42 am only thing I wish I would have done is elevate them about 18-20" off the ground, there is food shuts where the panel beside the door is now. so I can lock them when i'm gone and a friend or my dad can feed and spray them down, and I dont have to worry about one of them hualing a$$ on someone when they open the door. I rebuilt them about a year ago and added the drain and food shut.
Title: Re: need some ideas Post by: rdjustham on January 07, 2011, 01:19:13 pm Mine are all 4x12 with pressure treated plywood for the floor. Dont like the ply wood it flexes and makes it harder to drain. They are built off the ground 12", with welded wire around three. the fourth thats not finished is going to be bull pannel for my hard headed bulldog.

I think Iam going to do something very similar to the pics above. I'am going to stay with the size of 16x10 and have a hinge in the middle of it where I can break the floor down or fold it up if I ever moved. I think I will also build it on skids so if I ever wanted to move it I could. I appreciate it guys
