Title: 1/8 Hunt Post by: Texas_Cur on January 08, 2011, 06:55:17 pm Met the usual crew this morning. Aaron BMC brought his cousin Megan along, she had never caught a hog before. Not 5 min into the hunt Hips opens up. We had a nice little chase and ended up catching a good sized boar. The cool thing about this hog is that we are almost positive that this was the same red boar with black markings that killed Clay's dog Mandy several months ago. We have had this hog bayed before three different times and he has always managed to give us the slip, not this time.
We also caught another boar and two sows and called it a day. Maggie and Hips took some shots but nothing serious, all will live to fight another day.
