Title: 1/12/11 Hunt in Mexia Post by: Easttex on January 12, 2011, 08:02:57 pm This morning I met up with Chris (Draggin Weight) and a couple of his friends, Kevin and Dave over in Mexia. We had a good time and caught a couple good little boars. Both of them were red with black spots, must run in the genes there. Good looking hogs. The first one had some good teeth that were just right to do some harm but we got off without too much damage. It was a cold morning for a hunt but it was well worth it. Although I had to let the dogs ride in the cab with me seeing that we had a long drive and I didn't want them to ride that far in that cold wind. I wouldn't want to be riding in the back in 21 degree weather and 65 mph wind. :o
The first boar was in some thick, thick briars and the second one made it to the creek before making his last stand. Chris crawled off into the creek on the second one and found out quick that it was COLD! ;D ;D ;D Anyway, here are a few pictures from this morning. He's definitley open on track but every time he barked yesterday we got a pig. I can't complain and I've always loved walkers.
