 Okay for a couple of weeks Ive been happy because when i would go to pick up our sportsmix in the black bag it was 55lb bags and said "5 lbs free"....now I went to pick up our sportsmix yestarday and the bag said " 50 lbs for the price of 40 lbs., 10 lbs free"
  
 Now is it just me or is Sportsmix fixing to pull a fast one?  >:(

 I love sportsmix but if they start charging me the same price for 40lbs that i was paying for 50lbs im not going to be a happy camper.

Now that I think about it as long as I can remember it's always been 50lb for the price of 40lb. Just in last month or so have I been getting the 55lb bags. Which would explain why the cost went up. I just haven't paid any attention to it.

all bags i get from say 10 lbs free 50 lb bags cost me 24.50 a bag

 Then maybe i jumped the gun on this. I never noticed that the bags say 50 for the price of 40 until after i noticed the 55lb bags that said 5lbs free. Thanks for the feedback.

I feed both green and black label, I've noticed the same thing but I still pay $21.45 a bag so I don't worry about it.

i feed the black bag from TSC 50lbs for 40lb price is what bag says and its still 25 bucks

I would like to know about the Victor feed as well.  I talked to the feed store owner about becoming a deal but he didnt show any interest.  He carries Sportmix and doesnt want to get into too many brands.  So he says.

We always pay for a 40 lbs bag and they give 10 pounds free.
During the holidays they ran a special, same price but instead of 50 total we got 55 lbs per bag.
Seems good to me

years ago it was pay for 50 lbs. and get 5 lbs free and then it was buy 50 lbs. and get 2 free.

Now it is buy 50 lbs. for 40 lb. bag price.

Well victor got so high that the feed store that we go to quit selling it because they kept going up in price if this is not correct i would love to find out why it is so high heck i live in MT Pleasant where it is made?

I absolutely refuse to buy 40lb bags. It is like the skinny cereal boxes. If it ain't in a 50lb bag I do not buy it!

i used to think like this,, i did the math and price per pound was cheaper with victor. plus i feel it is a higher quality feed. i can sell the red bag for around 20 bucks a bag after tax.

Ok I just moved in the last month and was feeding the victor for almost a year before i moved...its has gone from 22.00 to 24.00/bag for a 40lb bag and now i can't get it and am feeding the sportmix 24/20 in a 50 lb bag for 23.05 a bag and don't have any problems with the sportmix 24/20.  Now i do have an old dog that gets the 26/18 w joint health and will contiue to drive to get that for him.  But I have no problems with feeding the sportmix to everything else.  Its worth the difference in price/weight per sack to feed the sportmix to everything else though.  It cost me 92.20 for 200# of sportmix and 126 for 200# of the victor.  So for all but my old dogs I can't hardly argue with the difference in feeds.

I agree with Dub. 50lbs or Ill get something else. I like the feed I just dont like what they are doing with the buy 50 get 5 free. Its all a sale gimmick. Why cant they just sell a 50lb bag for a certain price or a 40lb bag for a certain price. Sorry it just annoys the heck out of me. They are the only ones doing it that I have seen. I am thinking of switching back to Shawnee High Quality 27/11. $18 at Double R in Lufkin.
