Title: Tournament Weekend (5 1/8" Cutter) Post by: Texas_Cur on March 07, 2011, 09:22:14 am Team Cold Hate had a fun weekend. We ended up catching around 16 hogs, 10 of which weighed in. We caught a big barr that had 5 1/8 inch cutters, which won biggest barr and longest cutter in the tournament. I dont think we could have put together a better group of people. I cant wait until next year.

And 5" teeth are the longest but that was because the wetters had been knocked out. For this hog to be caught during the TDHA tournament hunt is by far the LUCKIEST thing that could have happened.

Think I'm going to do a skull mount with a framed picture next to it. Definately the highlight of the weekend for us. In typical tournament fashion we couldn't catch the hogs we expected to but this guy made up for it and was a nice surprise. Did someone knock out that barr's whetters when they castrated him? I assume the cutters would not be sharp, but they sure looked sharp. If a dog got hooked on those, even a collar, not sure he would get off anytime soon. Anyone have the best way of removing the upper whetters? The reason I ask is a friend of mine used nippers and the boar died, he thinks bled out or died of shock. I have been wanting to clip the uppers on a cpuple boars in pen, but wondering about best method.
