Title: Re: Anybody ever use an american leapord hound? Post by: BarrNinja on March 16, 2011, 09:21:18 am A friend of mine had one that was a dang good one! A phenom! Silent on a track and pretty cold nosed with no quit!
Careful with him in the heat if he has a double coat of hair like most do. Post a few pictures when you can. Registered leps are pretty rare around my parts. Post by: Boar Collector on March 16, 2011, 10:30:12 am A friend of man has a leopard dog named dish that sounds alot like the one you described ninja. I was talking on the phone with Rance yesterday and he was telling me that dish, along with a few of his dogs, trailed 2.2 miles the other day and bayed. Rance also has a registered black and tan leopard dog that is about 8 months old and he is gonna be rough as a cob.

Post by: Reuben on March 16, 2011, 08:13:10 pm Leopard hound or leopard cur are the same but do not mistake them for catahoulas because they are different like the night and day. Leopard curs have a good nose and lots of hunt just like the mtn curs are different than the bmc.
The best way to describe them is that they are somewhere between a hound and a cur Title: Re: Anybody ever use an american leapord hound?
