Title: Annoying Nieghbor... Post by: TimmsHogDogs on March 23, 2011, 12:31:45 am My nieghbor had the nerve to drive up in my yard and tell me that I needed to move one of my dogs away from his property line. It was on my property five feet from his property line. He informed me that he didnt want my dogs that close because they are vicious and could hurt or kill his 7 and 8 year olds. My dogs are on chains because we are in the process of building kennels. The annoying part is that between our property lines he has a bunch of junk cars. Im like your worried about my dogs that are not vicious and love kids when you could be housing rattlers and who knows what else in those cars and junk? I moved the dog because I have to live next to him and dont want any problems but Im still pissed about it because he has a dog that has come over and repeatedly attacked my dogs. I was just really wanting to tell him exactly where he could put the property line and what I thought about the whole matter... Cant wait to get my privacy fence and kennels finished....

Title: Re: Annoying Nieghbor... Post by: BIG BEN on March 23, 2011, 08:16:06 am I have a problematic neighbor, he likes to blast his car stereo as loud as he can at 1-2 in the morning, I have 2 youngins in elementary school and it kept them up at night. He said he does it because my dogs keep him up at night, My dogs are very well behaved at the house and if they bark there is always a good reason. It all came to a head a few months back and I guess a good ole A$$ whoopin is all it took to get my point across. This may sound bad but I follow a saying " Treat your neighbor as he treats you" and " show respect and respect will be shown to you". Thing are not the way they use to be, Respect is a rare quality found in a person nowadays.

Title: Re: Annoying Nieghbor... Post by: aladatrot on March 23, 2011, 01:01:41 pm We live in a neighborhood where some folks let their dogs run loose. One was busted chasing chickens in someone else's barn last week and got 2x4 drops thrown at him by the workers. Next time I imagine it won't be so nice a hint.
We had a neighboring fence that held my horses in, but once a boarder's mule got over into the neighbor's pasture and caused some mischief with their show cattle. Neighbor's kid was all kinds of fired up at me on the phone, and I was 200 miles away. I got hold of the mule's owner, and he went and got the mule and put him in a stall at our place. My hog got over there as well, and irritated them too. Well, since they got vocal about my critters, we started letting them know each and every time their animals came over onto our place. Their cattle got into our pasture and trashed our hot wire fence on too many occasions to count, their geese came over and held us prisoner at our barn gate. They attacked a boarder in my pasture trying to catch her horse, she swung a piece of water hose at the goose in self defense, and the goose died the next day. That didn't go over well. Then I got attacked by the remaining geese, leaving bruises on my legs. Their goats would come over and run my sheep off their feed. The goats also figured out how to get into my hay barn and would munch on my alfalfa hay all day long. We disc and tilled half of our back turn out and planted grass seed. Had sprinklers and everything and kept our horses out of there so the grass could get a good start. Several weeks into the project, their goats ate up the grass seedlings a week at a time. They trashed all that planting. Their horse came over a couple times, and their un gelded donkey had me so worried about my mare that she didn't get to go out. Sooo, it turned out their critters were worse about coming over to our place than ours were on theirs. We went in halves on a new pipe and panel fence between us. Well, my ducks still go on walkabout on their place, but don't cause any issues. Their goats still come over to our place, but we have run more fence to keep them out of my sheep areas and my hay barn, so no more issue there. The geese got relocated to a county park, I hauled the donkey for a gelding appointment, and all is well. Good fences do make much better neighbors. They are good folks, just weren't aware of how much grief their critters caused us daily because we didn't make a big deal of it. Once we started letting them come over and get their animals back on their side of the fence and they got to see the destruction before we fixed any of it, they realized how much we just sucked it up and dealt with their critters' roaming on our own. Cheers M Title: Re: Annoying Nieghbor...
