The stuff people comes up with amazes me sometimes and other times leaves me dumb founded...ain't for sure what I am on this one though.

as long as it  is not too heavy it should work. I should allow much more air flow than a regular vest.  Wonder what material is used between the dog and metal

It looks like a good idea. I have seen this concept used on high pressure hoses that have the potential to burst because of high pressure or temperature and they put this metal wire mesh around the hoses for safety and these hoses are flexible and the weight isn't that much more.

I have thought about using and ice pick and spreading the weave in the cut vest and then install brass ilets so that the vest can ventilate and help the dog to cool.

That looks like that Elf armor Froto wore in th Lord of the Rings. Lol But on a serious note I would be afraid it would pull and tug at their hair and aggravate them

Wonder if it would take a dog straight to the bottom of a creek, guess not, must be very liteweight

ive seen a concept of this before, underneath is like a breathable mesh/felt, the rings acually are so small the wooded area isnt a problem, i know the large vest only weigh maybe 5 to 6 pounds
