Title: Hogs Gone Wild/new episode
Post by: BULLMASTER on May 09, 2011, 12:16:02 pm
Its truly sad when some of the best hog hunters I know are from Texas and we are so poorly represented by L3 Outdoors, these people are actually comical. The guys from Florida and Hawaii actually have some dogs that seem to know what they are doing and both say on camera they are new to dog hunting so I will cut them some slack. The one out dog hunting that Josh does puts the dog in more danger in my opinion, the brown dog he had on the show last night actually was getting after the hog. What will take down a hog easier, one rough dog or 3 or 4 rough dogs?We all know the answer to that question.Where did they find this dude?He is truly an embarrassment to our sport.

He sent another dog for help, so hes not strictly one out  ;D . There were some pretty nice hogs caught on the show last night though. Lots of Ivory!

I have to give them credit.  ;D
I saw about 3 - 5 seconds from the Stag looking dogs camera collar when he finally saw a hog.
That was the only few seconds I wasn't rolling my eyes and laughing at the hosts.

I agree with yall. Yea they caught some nice ones last night. The only thing I wonder about is why do the Florida guys lead their dogs every where? The only thing we lead around is the catch dog. If I have a bay dog by me at anytime in the hunt I get purty upset. I havent figured that one out yet. They did catch a nice one though.  Wish I could hunt 5-6 nights a week like those guys.

This show pisses ne off so bad but I can't stop watching it just to see what kinda dumba** crap L3 outdoors is gonna say. It takes years to get their dogs at the level their at, but I think their dogs need about 10 more years and maybe just maybe he wont have to follow the dog to make sure he ain't doing anything he's not supposed to be doing.

It's real easy to stop watching the show... I did, cold turkey. No patches, no gum, no treatment centers. I just quit tuning in.   ;D

That l3 bunch is something else. I'm just getting into hog hunting with dogs and it drives me crazy to watch them. Ive got a few dogs I'm working with and they need alot of woods time with proven dogs before I try to turn'em out on there own and to be honest I don't see much difference between mine and l3's dogs and he says they've taken years to get to that level. And another thing, I know alot of guys that have never hunted in there lives that are calling me trying to find a great Dane do they can go do some hog hunting just because the saw a scripted fake hunt, man it drives me crazy! And have what's up with his new "boarhound" breed he's coming up with, I don't see alot of hound in any great Dane I've ever been around and I sure haven't seen anykind of nose on any of there dogs much less the Danes. Anyways sorry no commitment Ive tried to stay out of the mess but I had to vent, it's a reality tv show, and if you put yourself out there you gotta be able to take the criticism that goes with the fame.

I've known the young man along time.
I'm sure he will have something nice in return  ;D

Putting an L3 decal on my glass would be like putting a rainbow sticker on it.
It aint gonna happen!!!!

I have to wonder what L3s friends and the hunters that live in his area think about him now,I know if he lived in southeast  Texas the guy wouldnt be able to step foot in the woods without some ole boys giving him the blues.I hope he is getting really rich while making all of us look like idiots,he needs to call those Florida or Hawaiin boys for some pointers on dog training.

That's some messed up sh*t David, you know I've been upset since the car wash blew that sticker off, lmao.

I understand the show needs certain footage....but .... :-\

Im trying to figure out what a "Ute" is .... ???

The Texas group has a shock collar on the flank of that red dog...that is having hell holding a 125 lb hog. They are obviously hunting in a pen...not "pin" and several of those shots were from a pen in columbus many of us seen. Not to mention...they are running behind the dog....wtf  ???

The florida guys are different....most if not all of their shots seem to be staged as well....and barrs they are catching.

The Hawaii guys are interesting but not too sure bout those dogs. It was obvious the hog on the golf course was staged and tied...in fact your could see the rope when they showed the catch dogs catch. Then to send the dogs in without vests on that toothy hog.

However...it is hunting and many people dont know the difference. I like to watch cause its a good laugh and I''ll admit...I want to see how ignorant they can look the next time...so far...I havent been let down  ;D

I think am going to send off for an autographed picture of L3 and their dogs--and then hang it up at the kennel. Better get one quick because they put their life and their dogs life in harms way every time they hunt.

Think they would show it if they accidently ran upon a sure enough bad hog? Wonder what they gal would do if ole Riddick actually did get cut bad?

I cant believe anyone would spend the money feeding L3s culls!!!!

Put that picture up to inspire your dogs. Tell them no matter what you do you will always be better than the dogs in this pic ;D
I like how when they catch a decent hog its always too big to flip and tie they have to kill it. RETARDS!!!!!! :D

AM I the only one who has noticed what sounds like other dogs baying in the back ground of L3's clips?

I know folks who are from their area(sad to say not far from here) an they say they are the cause of more laughs then anything there.

I know for sure they filmed several shots in a 5 acre bay pen.

I had a Farmer ask me this past saturday at the fair if we hunted with Greatdanes like on the wild hog show on TV?

I could'nt get HELL NO out of my mouth fast enough.
I told him to never ever ever watch that BS again.

Everyone knows how I feel, I better leave it alone so I can go to sleep tonight in peace.

the way the florida boys tie scares the crap outta me. i really cant figure out why they bother to hang a peice of rope on one's feet if they're gonna leave a foot or more of slack between each one..

I was just talking to those guys an they were saying that the biggest hog they have ever seen and heard them bragging on catching out of a field was about 130-140 or so. Come on is that the best you can do? The only ones I like are the guys from the big Island. But even then they do some stuff that makes me laugh. The ones from Fl need lessons on tying like somebody mentioned. LOL

Well I have come up with a new training method. I set up TV's in all my kennels and have constant reruns of HGW playing for my dogs. Hoping that after a few months of watching professional footage, I will have the quality of dogs that they do. (patent pending)

i would like see them come down to caddo co. and catch one where we've chased them for hours and got some really good dogs killed. the hogs around here are mean and run extremely fast. L3 would never catch a hog round here with that big clumsy great dane!!! ;D ;D

I haven't seen any dog yet that L3 has had on the show that I would feed period...

If I were them I would spend 750 dollars on a good strike dog and a few hundred dollars on a good catch dog.

Reading the comments on the discovery board is a good refresher course in the depths of human stupidity! Even the most annoying teenage troublemakers on these boards are not as annoying as the TARDS on that one. I hate hearing people say, " why don't you just shoot them?" but then with representatives like them why wouldn't the public ask.

I have picked up two spots in the last week because rich folks are excited by that crap. The guy today offered me his land, then asks me how I i would charge to let him tag along. :o I said a can  of Copenhagen would make a sufficient guide fee.
