Title: Looking for a Strike Dog Post by: Jared H. on May 20, 2011, 04:23:52 am I am still looking for a short to medium range strike dog. I have a yard full of younger dogs and have been trying to find a strike dog with more experience to help train them. I am not looking for a super long range dog but dont want one under my feet. Must stay busy hunting even if in no sign. Dog must have enough bottom to stick with a hog. I need the dog to be trash broke and silent on track. Breed doesnt matter. I prefer a gritty dog but wont turn down one thats not as long as it can stop a hog. Would really like one that will catch all hogs 150lbs or under by it self. If anyone has what I am looking for please let me know. I am located in Pittsburg, Tx. about 2 hours east of Dallas but will drive for the right dog.
