Title: 5/22/11 hunt....4 hogs/328lb spoted boarboar Post by: -JB- on May 24, 2011, 03:39:18 pm called my buddys sunday to go hunting and got turned down again, so went anyways. loaded up a couple mutts and headed to the swamp, cut loose and bayed a group up about a mile from me, caught 2 sows around 150to 170 in the middle of the swamp, killed them, my young pup was bayed again about 200yrds away, got there cut my cur catch dog loose, and the fight was on. Finally got him down and tied, tried to catch my dogs but they rolled out before i could get through tieing this big spotted hog. Forgot my tracking system at home so i went back and picked it and my 5yr old son up and headed back out and started tracking them went to em and they had a 250 lb boar bayed up about half a mile in on the other side of the swamp, got him caught and didnt see any way to get him out so had to put the knife in him. When the little one gets here tomorrow we will have another generation to take with us one day. Hell of a hog ol' buddy.
