Title: need help on trapping
Post by: John on May 25, 2011, 06:29:01 pm
Does anyone have an opinion on how to keep calves  out of a hog trap. The landowner thinks they will go into the trap. Will a lower door or a different type of feed keep them out?  There are lots of hogs there and I caught a bunch once then took the trap down. (circle trap)  I also caught a calf in a box trap. That was not fun. Please help if you have a solution for me. Thanks John

Just put the gate or opening up against a barb wire fence.  The hogs can still get in but cows won't.
