i was just wanting to know everyones favorite type of dog and maybe some pics too i personally like ybmc

i like catahoulas just because that what i started hunting with     and i have also seen some really good cat x with 1/4 hound          but i like hog dogs    if they will do what i want i like them

i agree my first dog is a cat walker hound and is jam up they seem to just never let you down.

i love a airdale dog and str8 yellas airdales are real gritty and i just like the long haired ugly look they got

can i add to this what do yall like about cats i have had 3 and couold not get a single one of them to start on anything cows are hogs my buddy had a cat cross bulldog and she was a gritty/catchy bitch but i just cant ever get them to start at all wont even show much interest the last one i had bayed in the pen the first day i got him guy said he had been on quite a few hogs took him out and he wouldnt leave the horses and never bayed in the pen agian after that day i had him for a about 2 month and gave him away so someone who swore they could start him and now he still dont do nothin on nothin but horses he will run them all day

Plotts, they are like a nice blend of hound and cur.

Like my lacys but close second is a ridgeback.  I know I know I'm weird

well the cats have to have hunting background once you find one that hunts he wont stop mines out of tweety bloodline

I own Tweety... how old is your dog and how does he hunt? I like to keep track of dogs that go back to her... there's a few popping up that are making good dogs.

I've got it all. Hounds yella bmcs cats and crosses. Guna say I like the yella bmcs. They all have there goods and bass. Yellas look good. Its like buying farm equip. Just pick ur favorite color

i like any dog that is consistent hunts too please with brains and bottom perferably a hound cross

ANything that hunts and has bottom and grit.  My favorite was a florida curr i had.  Lost him after 5 years of catching hogs. 

I been likeing them CATs just made the transition to CAT x Walker a Walkahoula I like her so far.

Any dog that consistently finds hogs, silent on track, stays bayed till I get their, stops a runner, gets gone as soon as it hits the ground, doesn't trash, and is FREE....lol...anybody got one of these. I will take it off your hands. Lol

hes about a year old big lanky and long legged he looks just like tweety solid black with a little white on chest and feet. hes a total monster in the bay pen and when we hunt him you couldnt ask for more he goes out sometimes and we dont see him until we get to a bay and hes in the action. still young and learning every hunt but so far he will always have his spot in my pens

Great Dane-  able to see over tall objects when hunting
Catahoula- to guard the fourwheeler
Schnauzer/Poodle cross- for hogs 50 lbs and less
Cat/Pit- for hogs 50-150 lbs
Walker Hound- to chase off all the hard to catch hogs with its babbling mouth
Lab/Pit cross- used to catch hogs that have got into a creek or pond
YELLA DOGS- for the big nasty wild boar that these dogs couldnt catch!!!!!

A good rough, stock bred cur dog that will wind, find, stop, and hold a hog at close range by itself.

i am a fan of cats because they suit my situation but at the end of the day if it can catch me a hog ill like it.
