Title: Nothin Beats The River In The Summer Post by: chainrated on June 16, 2011, 08:28:21 pm Shawn, Chris, Isiah and I made a hunt monday morning and were hoping to get out of the woods before it got over 100 degrees but that didn't happen.. Dogs ended up baying in the middle of about the worst place they could at 299 yards in.. We finally got within about 50 yards of them and it was so thick the hog had HT and Rain backed WAY up and I don't think they wanted to be there anymore than I did... We sent Lop and a brother of Sue and I was glad to have them both on this trip...We got him throwed and took about a 30 minute break to try and cool down before we headed back. I've never looked more forward to seeing the river in my whole life and when we made it back we just walked right off into it and stayed there for a while .. It never felt better...

Glad to see Shawn isn't afraid to touch the hogs like you. ;) On a serious note, those hot muggy hunts are a real bear on the body ain't they.
