EAST TEXAS HOG DOGGERS FORUM

Those of you that know me, know that I've had "RIP" (the Bloom Brother's RCD from Australia) for about a year now.  I have been keeping him until the paperwork can get done to get him back to Australia.  I was able to hunt with the Blooms and RIP when they came to America and totally fell in love with the dog.  I worked out a deal with the Blooms to breed RIP in exchange for room and board until he was able to return to his home down under.  I bred RIP 3 different times and nothing took so I figured him for a dud and kinda lost hope.  Had 2 females come in again and decided to give it one more try....We bred him to Lucy (pure Dogo owned by Krystal Rohan) again and then to a 3/4 Dogo 1/4 AB.  Lucy had 2 pups yesterday (1 male and 1 female) and the other female was up to 7 when I fed at dark.  Looks like RIP will be leaving in a few weeks but THANK GOD I was able to get some pups out of him.  Not sure what I will keep, but will post pics in a few weeks.  Really excited about these pups.  They will really add to what I'm working towards with my RCD's.  Seeing pups on the ground out of something that you really like is a great feeling....One of the great moments of Hog-Doggin'!

Congrats Cody, I am glad to hear that you were able to get some pups on the ground out of him.

This morning there is 9 total on the ground from the female here at the house.....Will try to get close for some pics a little later.

I would expect a few phone calls from Ten. any min now........... ;D

I got to give it to the boy......He is the most resourceful guy I've ever spoke to.....I bet he's spoken to 1,000 people about hog-dogs!   ;D

Who is the momma to the 9 pups?  I know the kind of knucle heads that Lucy throws, just wondering where this momma came from.  Not looking for a pup, just interested in the breeding.  Good luck with the puppies!

"Blanca" is the momma to the Rip pups at Cody's. She is out of Alley & Jonah, Alley came from JD, and is a neice to Lucy, Jonah is out of Captain & Lucy (same litter as Smoochy) so is 3/4 dogo 1/4 AB

great to hear you finally got some pups out of him cody! from what i've seen on the dvds Rip is one heck of a dog, hope his pups follow in his stead. can't wait to see them mature and work! ;D

RIP is an Australian Wolfhound Cross.....His breeding consists of pit, dane, mastiff, bull terrier, and staghound

What kind of dog is this, and how tight does he bay?

man that's a good lookin dog......never have had a chance to watch any of the videos. :(

He is realy BIG too, it hard to imagine after watching the video and then see him in person, and know that a dog of this size can move the way he does.

he look friggin huge.......i'd guess with mastiff and dane he'd have to be :o

plus he's part stag so he should have plenty of leg and lung......man that's gonna be money well spent.

Just got RIP back from the vet.  We were doing his bloodwork to send him to Africa.....He weighed in at a whopping 118 pounds on the vet's digital scale!

i'll tell you what Cody he looked every bit of it.  that's a good lookin dog, but the pics don't do him justice at all.  first time i've ever seen him and he's mighty large.

I know u directed this towards Cody, but just to answer your question, 4 males 4 females I know 2-3 r taken for Sure!  I don't mean to bud in but I'm siked about these pups!  Hope this answers your question thouroughly enough!
