Ok people I have noticed that there are a lot more members than last time i checked around, and I was wondering for those of you who invite newbies on hunts what are some things not to do if a person was hunting with you?

dont drink MY beer ;D that is my only rule

don't bring extra people without asking
don't run off by yourself, stick close to me
knife stays in the scabbard until the hog is under control
a couple beers is ok, but don't get wasted.  I don't want to deal with a hog and a drunk at the same time

Don't discipline my dogs.

leave your cigaretts at home

I handle my dog you handle yours.

Don't bring any extra people without asking first and don't discipline my dogs, but we really dont have many rules, I mean its just hog hunting. We are there to have fun and if we bring someone, we want them to have fun also. Too many rules sucks the fun right out of anything and makes it more of a job than something to do for fun. JMO  :)

10-4 I took some kid out to my lease an when he showed up he had about 5 other people with him an some "jam up dogs" well long story short my dogs bayed a sow his never honored the bay he told me they were trashing i went an caught a hog an when he walked in there he started kickin at my puppy for puttin teeth on that hog ... that did not fly what so ever an he'll never be allowed back

dont show up with a pack of puppies without asking.

and number one overall.....dont tell ANYBODY where we were hunting OR hunt the spot behind my back

There should be a list of DO NOTS AFTER THE HUNT. Like do not  HUNT MY SPOT THAT I TOOK YOU TO HUNT. 

No guns

Don't touch my dogs or any one else's dogs if you don't have permission
No guns
No drugs
Don't bring a woman unless you bring enough for every one  ;)
Don't call or order my dogs or any one else's dogs around
No extra people
Don't come on my hunting spots with out me
Don't bring any dogs that I didn't say were ok to bring
oh  yeah, have fun and we let the new guys always stick the hog and drag them out as well

 Remember you're a guest and act respectful and appreciative towards those who are trusting you with their knowledge; this type of kindness will become harder and harder to find if you don't listen.
 

And for sure don't let your dog get on cattle!

Women are always welcome in my book.My wife hunts with me 95% of the time she is just like one of us guys and is expected to be treated that way. I only have 2 small rules dont bring a bunch of extra people without asking  and dont try to back door my hunting spots.

Yeah I was just trying to be funny about the woman thing, I don't mind a women come along. I just pray I could find some like the HDL girls up here in Oklahoma to tag along with me. then I could get famous like Chance  8)

Don't bring a woman? Don't worry about coming down here to hunt, some of the women in these parts have their own dogs and know how to use them, and can teach a bunch of these guys a thing or two about how to handle a dog, that statement ain't making you any friends Waylon.

 I don't mind having men on the hunt as long as they don't slow me down.  8)

my wife has her own dogs and she damn sure nows how to use the the hobbles and the sword she got from wild boar usa on her hip some poeple and women hunting weve been in some thick places have the batteries die on the flash lights and shes the one leading my blind butt and the dogs out of the woods and back to the truck lol shes better at reading the garmin than me im thankful my wife goes with me 95% of the time

Why are you running fast with a rifle in your hands?  Heck, if I had stellar dogs like you all claim to have, I don't need a rifle to finish them off.  Good gosh, your whole pack is just about made up of pits or pit crosses.  Why do you need a gun anyway?  Might just need better dogs instead of ammo.  Just saying.   ;)

We love having you around.  You're as cool as the other side of the pillow.  Considering we are looking at a 3 day weekend, I do expect you to provide some swine pics on Tuesday though.   8)

I was really wanting to, but my buddy that I had made plans to go with was called out to work the weekend shift.  Wife and daughter are at the beach for a few days, so who knows.  I may try to get away and whisper in some pig ears with the hounds.   

 Well I hope you find someone to hunt with so we can compare hogs on tuesday. I know my curs will be hard at work. LOL ;D

Your's are sure to be bigger.  You have 2 great hog hunters living in your house.  I only have 1.  You automatically win.   ;D

Well, it is more of a cape, but yes they do have a layer of protection.

whhaaat? lol yes thats me in my pic...and i love my dogs and they are good at what they do :) but on that night i didnt take me dogs. i  like stalkin animals and i got up to about 30 yards away from about 15 20 pigs..so i needed somethin lol  dont hate on me and my zebra rifle :( not nice hahaha

I hunt a lot with txmaverick and we have been taking groups of boys in the CTO hunts. My number one rule for anyone young or old is, do not shine your light in my eyes. I will take it away and trow it as far as I can. And kids are the worlds worst about it followed by guys that dont go in the woods after dark.

We also tell them not to get ahead of us going to the bay. I have grabbed at least 2 by the shirt and poicked them up and set them down behind me. After the 2nd time, the CTO outfitters told them what I would do at the pre hunt meeting/prayer.

Dont run in with a knife trying to stab overhand. Had a couple think they are Rambo or somebody.

No guns except Jay or myself. And even without the youngsters, we dont drink during the hunt. After is OK.

They can pet the dogs if the dogs are on the truck, but if they are on the ground, keep your hands off and dont call or talk to them.

If we say be quiet, that means silence and right now.

But it usually goes well and the few times we have had a friend along on a non CTO hunt, the rules are the same and no one has minded .

When hunting with cutter don't bring dogs without a cape. You can only hunt in spandex and a cape. Be sure to bring your own pom poms.

Cutter that's a good pic. One of the better ones I've seen. I'm gonna have to get my gyp a Wonder Woman outfit and compare.

Don't handle my dogs, don't correct them,don't beat the cd to the bay lol I had that happen one time, don't bring alot of people ,women are welcome to come and don't get offended if im screaming at you or talking bad when hobbling a hog or getting dogs off sometimes it happens lol.

Don't back door me... Don't try to back door me... Don't bring anyone with u I didn't invite to come... Don't bring every dog you own...don't correct my dogs, call my dogs, criticize my dogs, steal my dogs, or try to buy my dogs... Don't bring dogs that trash or fight... Don't bring a gun... Don't kill my hogs... Don't come if ur afraid to help catch,tie, or cut a hog...dont bring a 4wheeler if im on a horse...don't strike out on ur own...don't act like u know it all, whether you do or not...dont brag on your dogs or make excuses for them all day...don't unnecessarily beat or kill your dogs (or mine) and leave it in my woods... Bring your own beer,snuff, and cigarettes...women and kids are always welcome to hunt with me whether they help or just watch, but the same rules apply lol(most times its just me and my ol lady huntin and she's the best light holder I ever had)...don't invite yourself back...oh ya and did i mention don't back door me!! I know I'm kinda picky but a guest should always act like a guest and be courteous and respectful to you, your dogs, your property, and your hunting ethics and not take advantage of the fact that they are in fact a guest... I have taken some people that are really works of art lol, I have a few people I hunt with and that's usually it. Long as your respectful then everyone oughta b happy at the end of the day  :D

ya know now that i think about it i really dont care what a guest does when im out hunting, if i dont like what they are doin i let them know

not the first time ive left a guest on the side of the road for their buddy to come pick up

 I don't have any rules about guests beating the catchdog to the bay. I figure that if they dont have any common sense then Im going to enjoy the show.  ;D If they survive the first time, Im pretty sure they wont do it again.  :D

DO NOT TELL ME HOW TOUGH YOU ARE THEN LOCK UP WHEN IT's TIME TO HANDLE BUSINESS. I am better off knowing I am going to do everything myself than looking back at a statue that is supposed to be helping.

Doggie I don't even expect anything out of anybody. I know the guys I hunt with all the time will be there and I don't worry about anyone else.
