Title: how to fix a battery Post by: hvacman on July 03, 2011, 08:42:34 pm i know this has nothing to do with hog hunting but we all use batteries for something. most batteries lose their capacity to fully charge after awhile so i done some digging and found this info. works for any battery use at your own risk. take a battery that is a higher voltage than the one you are fixing we will say an 9 volt drill battery for example. make sure battery is dead take a 12 volt car battery and some jumper wires , secure jumper from 12 volt to 9 volt neg on neg . take next jumper and attach to pos side on 12v batt touch other end of jumper to 9v rapidly for 20 seconds (do not just connect it ,it may explode) take 9v and charge it to full .
just remember to use the next higher voltage battery than the one you are working on a 18 volt use two car batteries wired for 24 volt Title: Re: how to fix a battery Post by: ole shep on July 04, 2011, 12:21:34 am I would like some info on lithiums. I hit it about once a year with my 12v booster pack used to jump off cars. Kills it for 24-36 hours but after that it takes a charge that lasts for several days. Prolly ain't safe but a lot cheaper and lasts longer than a new battery stick for it.
