Title: Just A FYI for Everyone!!
Post by: DangerZone on July 08, 2011, 08:31:14 am
During a quick hunt last Wed. nite, I got a very small scratch on my eyelid from a tree branch, after that dogs catch a 150# sow and while we were hobbling her she spit [a 1/2 cup of what looked like mud] on the side of my face, by Sunday nite I was making a trip to the ER my eye looked like the loosing Boxer's after the fight, swollen up and I coudn't see out of my right eye, first doc said it was just a STY,[he was WRONG] after they tested it,it was a bacteria prolly from the hogs stomach, [bile] got some good med's and cream and it's alll good now,  SO If you get spit on by a hog in the face and it's slimmy grey get your self check out when it first starts to swell !!!! ;)

I got a bad bacterial infection from one about two years ago.  If you been handling hogs be sure to tell the Docs.  It will help them diagnose the problem quickly.
