Any of you Waco wakkos tried this place out yet? I got a kid coming down from Baylor to hunt and I flat forgot to request at phat ho burger.  If your ever in Friendswood stop by La Casita and try the Chile relleno or the carne Asada

What's the lil greasy quick stop shack in your home town called and what's they're specialty? This could be a fun way to spur tourism ;)

We got one called the Pitt Grill. Ol Jesse Paul will make the 8 hour trip just to come eat! ;D

T-Bob, I heard that Fat Ho Burgers was shut down, but that could just be hear-say. I do know that the "Super Fly Ho Burger w/cheese" was pretty tasty.  ;D

If you ever get around the Waco area, plan on coming 30 miles south and eating at the B & B Market aka The Tub in Marlin. It is definetly unique.

jim's open kitchen, 4 generations have owned it, seats maybe 50 people on a busy day, you can get a 3 egg omlet with bacon, sausage, ham and cheese, a order of hasbrowns and a coffee and coke for round 6 bucks

All of these are good for a solid meal for not a lot money.

C'mon Matt! I love the sawmill! But, being a good magnolia boy, don't tell me you've never ate the "dirty donkey" @rancho Grande!

In Magnolia try Rancho Grande, Blue Iguana, and the Magnolia Smoke House.

Moms diner in Lufkin has some big greasy cheese burgers that are great. They also will clog up an artery, but you take the good with the bad.

If your in Baytown go get some C&D breakfast tacos off Market st. there the best!!!

New favorite Malt-n-Burger on hwy 6 in Alvin TX get the party melt and a chocolate Malt.

Not where I am from, but The Frosty in Woodsboro, Texas is home of the delicious Tortilla Burger.

There's a place in Alvin off business 35 called delias I always get the super loco burger.

I ate at dairyland it was pretty good. Any of yall up around bowie ever try the Peach Orchard?

Been away from the PC awhile T-Bob.  It's sloppy delicious.  Hambuger patty, lettuce, tomato, guacamole, sandwiched in greasy cooked corn tortillas.  Onced you have eaten a burger with a corn tortilla, you will never want a bun again.  I have tried to duplicate it at home, but never have mastered the exact flavor.

I agree with C&D my old boss use to bring some for breakfast all the time an there dam good. Hey T Bob if you think them chile rellenos are good i can almost promise the ones momma makes are better. Homemade  May have to trade some for a hunt soon lol

There was a Mexican food place around the Wal-Mart area but on the opposite side of 35 in Waco the we use to hit up regularly. They did a Margarita happy hour during lunch. Made lab after lunch interesting. There was also a good little cafe north of Waco at the West exit.

El Toro in Clute, TX ain't bad, and down the street from there we have Bryans BBQ and they have got to have the best poke ribs in the world... :P

K2 restaurant in Bay City, TX is pretty good...

Im going to have to say for a burger Dairy bar in lake jackson, lupitas in freeport for breakfast tacos!

x2 on the lupit'as tacos...been making that taco run for almost 30 years now...even when I worked at the big company...we made a morning run when we worked days...

right across from there "Daniels Corner" made a great and nasty burger but the old man passed away 3 months ago so, it is now no more...

One all time favorite has to be hot pastrami w/ mustard, pickles, and root beer freeze. Little Jocos in Nipomo Ca. One of the very few things I miss from back there.-

a real good local place is the ranch hand cafe in between cleveland and tarkington.

Cowboy cafe is real good and you never know who'll be in there.

I love the Ranch Hand Cafe too! Good home cooked style food.

Swick's BBQ in Groesbeck has the best beans and BBQ sauce. Their BBQ is the shiznit to.

If any of ya'll are ever in the Tulsa area, be sure to try Ron's Hamburgers. There are several locations throughout the metro area. It is a toss up between the Ron's Special or Sausage Cheeseburger every time I go, but either of them are awesome. Their spanish fries are freakin awesome too. If you're into to BBQ, Legends BBQ in Oolagah has the best beans I have ever had, and their meat is above average as well.

Highway 77 cafe in rosebud is pretty darn good, stop almost every time on my way back to brazoria county

Well seeing I've been every where in center here's a few.
Riesel- bushes chicken. They sell good hamburgers and tacos just ask.
Mart- dairycreme if it's still open not dairyqueen
Marlin- wups boomerang BBQ.
Durango- has the Durango bar and grill really cheap quality food.
Rattabar- ratbar bar and grill, really cheap home cookn
Greens smoke house. I can't remember the town.

X 3 on san Jose's in Flatonia....I kill myself every time I go in there ....everyone thinks I like to hunt over there but really I just want the chance to gtub down at that joint.

I'm gone the rest of this week and next, but maybe the following week we should see if a few of us can go eat here and maybe bring a few dogs?!?  ;) if only I knew somebody who had some connections out that way ;)

Green's Sausage House is in Zabcikville, Texas best ham and cheese kolaches in the state and well honestly best meat around.

ha thanks. i knew is something like that I stop in there once or twice a year they make real boudin sausage. Close to LA as its ganna get.
