Title: Another family member... Post by: Mike on July 19, 2011, 08:26:55 pm This is an 8 month old Tweety/Winchester grandson out of the Obama dog. I just got him last week and UNDERDOG has a littermate brother to him. They are supposed to be finding and baying hogs already on staged hunts... Bryant's did real well the other night on his first real hunt.
Mine is a good looking brindle saddleback with the trade-mark white chest and feet with black ticking from Grandma. ;) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/DEERHUNTER280/74341c04.jpg) (http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v311/DEERHUNTER280/af7df5f2.jpg) Title: Re: Another family member... Title: Re: Another family member... Post by: Mike on July 19, 2011, 08:51:40 pm Great looking dog Mike. I like those long legs. Is he as big as your other black dog, I think its Striker? Oh no, Striker is a big boy... this dog is a lot smaller. Hopefully he'll finish out between 50 and 60 lbs. Title: Re: Another family member... Post by: FLBayNSlay on July 19, 2011, 08:55:22 pm Good lookin dog, I like that brindle ;) Mike do you prefer bigger dogs in that weight range 55-65lbs???? I know down here in FL I try to keep my curs around 40-50lbs.
Title: Re: Another family member... Post by: Mike on July 19, 2011, 09:00:51 pm Ha ha... I call those smaller dogs! Most of my old catahoulas were always big 60 to 80 dogs.
I really like the size and build of the ones I have now in that 50 to 60 lb range. Title: Re: Another family member... Well mike if you got too much on your plate right now id be honored to start that beauty ;) love the legs! Title: Re: Another family member... Post by: Mike on July 19, 2011, 09:11:36 pm That size range is one of the things i'm hoping to breed towards also... which may take a while to get to.
Here's one of my year old Tweety/Buck pups named Red. Him, his sister and Bryants Leory dog (all littermates) and my Hunter dog are the size and build of what i'm looking for. You already know how I feel about the brindle saddleback... And if he doesn't work out, he will make a nice rug. Title: Re: Another family member... Post by: matt_aggie04 on July 19, 2011, 09:55:48 pm haha ;D

Yep, he's been in the woods a few times. That litter is progressing slowly, but it was expected from that cross. Title: Re: Another family member... Also big enough to stop a hog when they grab a ham and sit back... Title: Re: Another family member... Post by: Mike on July 22, 2011, 08:59:39 am Tweety sure does influence most of her familys color. Yes sir. I have friend that has a litter of her grandpups on the ground right now, out of a yella female. Out of seven, six pups look just like her and there's one brindle. Your's is half walker hound right? What did his littermates look like? Title: Re: Another family member... Post by: Circle C on July 22, 2011, 09:09:51 am Mike,
These are some Tweety grandpups that we currently have on the ground. They have the trademark white patch, feet, and ticking. Post by: Mike on July 22, 2011, 09:14:12 am They look good Chris... most of that came out brindle didn't they?
A few years from now, we oughta have plenty choose from. ;D Title: Re: Another family member... Post by: Circle C on July 22, 2011, 09:42:18 am Out of 8 pups left, they are mixed black and very dark brindle.
With Brandy being the hoe that she is, we don't know if the daddy is Booger the plott, or Brandy's son, who is 1/2 pit. Her son, who is now dead, was black just like her. Booger is brindle. And of course Brandy's mom is black and her dad was brindle. Without pulling DNA, I don't guess we will know for sure. Trigger was a cowdog, but he wasn't real rough, even being half pit, and he looked like the rest of the Tweety bred dogs.... One thing is for sure, they are gonna have some hunt in them. |
