Title: my name
Post by: coyote hunter on July 22, 2011, 12:21:32 pm
I'm named after my father and my son is a Jr. Here's the story. We r trying to teach our 4 yr old his whole name and ours. Last nite we had him repeating after us. Darrell sebastiano Curtis Lewis. He says Darrell gastranomal Curtis Lewis. We were cracking up. He finally asks what's my name. I tell him Darrell sebastiano Curtis Lewis. He says not its not that's his name and I am just dad. I said no I'm Darrell. He says no I'm Darrell gastranomal Curtis Lewis. Ur just dad. Will not say sebastiano. I wish y'all could of seen this arguement. He was dead serious and got mad at me. So I'm just dad cuz I can't win an arhguement with a four old.

That is a pretty big handle for a 4 year old to be dealing with.

I love to see the family name carried on.  My son is the Fifth and some people just look at you when I write our name somewhere, I guess some people never learned their roman numerals  :D

He is a very smart kid rocking p. He's better on my smart phone than I am. He can sit and talk to u like he's 8 or nine yrs old. And we pass our name down in our family. There's a line of Johns 6 or 7 generations back. My dad named me after him but I'm not a Jr. Actually my son is the first Jr in the Lewis family. My wife named him that but I love it. ;)  he's the only blood child ill ever have. My wife had two when we met and they adopted me as dad. (And then staked climate to my truck and dogs)

"Just Dad" Now that is a title of nobility. There is no greater honor a boy can give his dad.

Just remember sometimes losing is winning and winning is losing. That argument sounds like one you need to lose.

Congratulations "Just Dad"

Ha! Don't feel bad. I have lost a debate or two with a 4 year old myself! In fact I got some good advice on a dog deal from my 3 year old daughter who is now 22. Overhearing a phone conversation, she approach me with love and concern in her expression after I hung up the phone. She said daddy, " just let your conscience be your guide".  :o So that's what I did!
